It's the interest, stupid!
I thought I had heard it all, until I stumbled onto this fine article by economist Ellen Brown. Not to be missed! MHG http://www.informationclearinghouse....ticle32975.htm |

Shouldn't he have been banned for speculating on certain things that TJ specifically said not to?

Our government still has the power to issue debt-free money like we did under Lincoln and JFK.

This post by you-know-who is very disrespectful of Jews.
It is also false. One of the whistleblowers featured in my latest book Black 9/11 is a Jewish banker named Bill Bergman. Bergman worked at the Chicago Fed for 14 years -- until he was fired for asking probing questions about 9/11. Bergman contacted me to tell me his story -- after reading one of my papers on line. He has been very supportive of my research and wants a new 9/11 investigation - since in his words "we have not been told the full truth." MHG |

IMO US immigration policy and border enforcement is primarily set by those in position to make a great financial windfall by bringing in people from such desperate straits that it makes it very easy to exploit them by paying them much lesser wages than an American can work for.
You cannot be pro-worker and pro-amnesty at the same time, neither can you pretend that you cannot enact and enforce legal measures to encourage self-deportation, and this condemnation is aimed at both parties. In the end, profit and vote-purchasing of these prospective amnestied Americans are clearly the motivation for those at the top, and the American worker is being trodden underfoot as a result. But yes, the primary culprits in this scheme are now Democrats. |

You're a run-of-the-mill Jew-hater who styles himself a "peace activist", with a Messiah complex and serious mental health issues.

This bill has a 0% chance of being enacted. The following factors were considered: This bill was a re-introduction of H.R. 6550 (111th) from the previous session of Congress. (-3%) The sponsor is a member of the minority party. (-2%) Just 4% of all House of Representatives bills in 2009–2010 were enacted. Thanks for the link! It allows you to write to congressman to support the bill. It takes maybe a handful of mouse clicks and then you can support or oppose it. Last edited by Odysseus; 11-11-2012 at 03:51 PM.. |

Thanks, Gaff, that article was a good read. I've been fascinated by the concept of North Dakota's state bank since I first heard of it, and this gave a little more information. Last week I voted for the only State Treasurer candidate who mentioned establishing a state bank here in Oregon. I hope the idea catches on in more places.

If you liked the piece by Ellen Brown -- you might be interested to learn the following.
Please sign a petition urging Obama to name her to his council of economic advisers. MHG Dear Public Banking Supporters: We need a Main Street Economist who advocates for public banks on President Obama's Council of Economic Advisors. Who better to be this person than Ellen Brown, Chair of the Public Banking Institute and author of Web of Debt? Please help promote public banking by signing this petition (see link below) requesting President Obama to nominate Ellen Brown to the Council of Economic Advisors. With over 100 articles on this subject alone, Ellen has earned the right to contribute her views on public banking as part of this preeminent council. Encourage your friends/family to support this as well. If they ask you what public banking is, tell them that it is the way Germany is funding its solar installations in order to end its reliance on nuclear power; it is the way that Japan provides a mechanism for long term savings; and, it is the way that New Zealand provides low cost banking services through its post offices. Public banking is what we can do to counteract the artificial scarcity imposed on our country by Wall Street banks. We only have a few weeks to make this happen -- you can make a difference by adding your name to this! Please sign: http://signon.org/sign/president-oba...ailing_id=6823 Don't forget to spread the word on Facebook and/or Twitter! For more information be sure to sign up for our monthly newsletter at www.publicbankinginstitute.org. Thank you for your support for public banking.
