What really pisses me off about the DEA is they stroll into pot dispenseries like their hot sh*t and make a big deal about it while they're at it. From my experience most bakers will stand down to 10 armed men storming into their pad. Try getting a meth lab once in a while, you pussies.

Quite the opposite. Weed funds their way of life. Money. Correct about that. But When that is compromised they look to other ways of getting money. And it's not looking for jobs.

Gangs are everywhere. I'm assuming in southern Colorado they aren't as violent as out here. Mostly gang on gang crime(selling weed in other territories will get you killed). they get their money from selling narcotics in their territory. Now if some college stoner comes walking through with his own bag of weed? He's gonna get clipped. The biggest advocates out here that wanted medical marijuana outlawed were the gangs. They'll see their product lose its value. Which will end up in more crime.
I dont know where you have lived, but colorados gangs are not really that bad. I know a few crips, bloods, surenos nsm etc. I guess when youhave lived in richmond chi town dallas and indythey just dont compare..

Salinas California is about 17 miles from Carmel. Yet worlds apart. One of the worst cities in America for nortes surenos. There's not many crips as these gangs snuffed them out.

Just google salinas gangs. Mind blowing. Doesn't help that the head of these gangs are centered in pelican bay and Soledad prisons.

There's a lot of ignorance in this thread about the situation in Colorado. The medical marijuana boom has not abated one bit and it won't by the time this law goes into affect. There are dispensaries everywhere... in some places as common as liquor stores, and there seems to be at least one in just about every town. Every one of these can transition from a medical marijuana dispensary to a legal regulated marijuana shop with ease. Some business owners may be more cautious about this than others, but the man power and resources the Feds would need to shut down every one of these would make such an endeavor ridiculous (which is not to say that the Feds are not ridiculous enough to try it).

The dispensaries have already completely changed the marijuana market in the state. The dispensaries and home growers are the source of just about all the pot on the market, whether used by people with medical cards or not. This hasn't caused any influx in crime from the former sellers looking to get into a new game. The transition from medical dispensaries to legal shops will have no tangible affect on this. The notion that it'll increase crime as an argument against is an obtuse reach at best.

Frankly it's a bit silly to cling onto the ruse that it is being distributed for medical purposes only when so many people with cards have flimsy justifications for having one. Just legalize it and do away with the ruse. And if you are against that, be consistent and argue for the prohibition of alcohol and tobacco. That one is legal and the other isn't is completely arbitrary.

So you haven't heard this?

If a cop even suspects your illegal IE brown skin. He is REQUIRED to ask you for your ID.

or during a "lawful contact" not specific to any activity[9] when there is reasonable suspicion that the individual is an illegal immigrant

Link to Arizona's incredible racist law: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona_SB_1070
