Looking over the schedule today and I want to say we win out these last 8 games but I think realistically we go 7-1 or possibly 6-2.
Week 10 @ Carolina - W Week 11 vs San Diego - W Week 12 @ KC - W Week 13 vs Tampa Bay - W Week 14 @ Oakland - I want to say W but something about this screams trap game to me Week 15 @ Baltimore - L (I know these aren't the Ravens of old but they've always given us trouble) Week 16 vs Cleveland - W Week 17 vs KC - W (although depending on what happens going in, we may be resting starters for the playoff) Thoughts? |

The only one I'm supremely confident about is week 12.

I say 6-2, I see us losing to Baltimore and one unexpected loss.

You can never predict health... so it's hard to say.
I'm actually most worried about this week. Our weakness on defense has been lane discipline up front, and Cam Newton is exactly the type of QB who can exploit that. If the offense doesn't come to play, it could be a tough game. After that the Baltimore game looks tough (@Baltimore) and possibly the Tampa Bay game as well. They've shown the ability to score. |

@Carolina and @Baltimore appear to be the toughest tests. Carolina has played everybody tough and traveling to the east coast is never good. And Baltimore, though maybe not as good as their record, isn't going to lie down and play dead in their own building. We probably lose at least one of these games, and maybe one other.

We lose probably 2. I would hope the last game doesn't matter for home field advantage and we let the Chiefs win 7-6.

Maybe 8-0. We never do well in Baltimore. So 7-1.

I could see us losing to the Ravens, Panthers and maybe Browns or Chiefs. I'm thinking we swee the Chiefs this year just because they are that bad and the only thing that has stopped us is good QB play - something that Chiefs have none of.
Regardless, I'm sticking to my 10-6 prediction. |

6 and 2 with losses to Baltimore and one unexpected loss.
I initially predicted this was a 10-6 team + or - one game. I'm going on the plus side of that prediction. 11-5 AFC West Champs. |

If you really want to count chickens before the hatching, here's the way it looks to me:
The Texans are 7-1 and have only two tough games remaining (Chicago & the Pats) They also own the tiebreaker over Denver due to the head to head result. They look to be on track for the number one seed in the AFC. Denver has a chance to catch Baltimore (currently 6-2) if the Broncos can beat the Ravens on the road. (The Ravens also have fairly tough games against Pittsburgh (x2) & the Giants remaining.) The Pats, at 5-3, have the edge over Denver due to the head to head victory, but they do seem have a lot harder schedule that includes Houston, the 49ers, and a pair of games against Miami (which has been surprisingly tough this year). Amazingly, Indy is 5-3, but they have two games against Houston and a road game against the Pats. The Steelers have worked their way back up to 5-3, but have two games against the Ravens and a road game at Dallas. Denver owns the tiebreaker due to the week 1 victory. So ... Top priority for Denver is simply to win its divisional games. After that, the Baltimore game could give Denver a shot at the #2 seed and a bye week in the playoffs. The Texans are almost impossible to catch and we want them to help us by beating down the Pats. |

I think it's important to win them all. It could be the difference in having to play an extra playoff game. I'd much rather have a bye. And would much rather have the patriots play in Denver if it came down to it.

Peyton is on a mission and he is going to want that #2 seed, that will be a huge advantage down the road if we have to play the Patriots again in the PO. He'll have us prepared each and every week.

Nope, and I would not want to either. You are bound to take shortcuts and lose in the playoffs when it matters...rather lose a game or two during the season than go 8-0 and flame out because of one bad day in the playoffs.

I tend to agree, although I'd really rather not play Houston either since they're good on both sides of the ball...

On paper we could win all the games, but don't see it happening. 11-5 with a couple of stumbles.
