Default Gov. Romney : 47th in job creation !!!

All the yada yada tax cuts and yet still 3 from dead last in job creation.........................

We don't need a corporate raider for president or a job deletor or a guy who thinks profits over people is where its at.

You know who is working for the middle class working people and it isn't Mitt.

You know who created the mess we are in and who has had their foot on the brakes to stop things from getting better faster.

These guys screwed us and then screwed us again by picking power and party over what is best for the country.

PUNISH THESE FOOLS TOMORROW !!!!!!

Wake up and get your ass to the polls tomorrow.

Not a big fan of Factcheck.org But even they are calling BS on this one.

Romney inherited a state that was dead last 50th, and got it to 28th

Quote:
A Democratic governor said Romney “left his state 47th out of 50 in job growth.” Actually, Massachusetts went from 50th in job creation during Romney’s first year to 28th in his final year.

Also the unemployment rate at the time was a healthy number. I think under 6% which is pretty good.

I suppose it depends on how you measure it.

This from Politifact...

Quote:
Since the Massachusetts governor takes office in early January, PolitiFact used data for December of each year as a baseline. From December 2002 to December 2006, Massachusetts ranked 47th out of 50 states (not including the District of Columbia) in job growth. Only Louisiana, Michigan and Ohio fared worse.
You also conveniently cut out a bit from FactCheck...the last sentence in the paragraph you quoted states:

Quote:
"It was 47th for the whole of his four-year tenure, but it was improving, not declining, when he left."
The article http://www.factcheck.org/2012/06/oba...onomic-record/ also goes on to state that:

Quote:
Our fact-checking colleagues at the Washington Post put together a chart comparing the jobs records of Obama, as president, and Romney, as Massachusetts governor, at similar points in their terms of office. Ironically, what the chart shows is a fairly similar trajectory under both men.
So right there in bold, the claim that Romney somehow has a better job creation record than Obama falls flat on its face.

Spin away...

correlation does not mean causation. Clinton didn't cause the information revolution either but his administration benefited from it. no CEO can take credit for the performance of his huge mass of people under him/her. Not even Steve Jobs. We want to believe in these "Great Men" but it just aint so.

Voted last week. Picked up some candiates lawn posters and put them out as i came into the house.
Put my wife's and mother in laws absentee ballots in the mail also.

Nothing to do tomorrow other than cach up on old movies.

Not even sure I will watch the returns.. Because of all the blather from both sides.

This is the first time seeing all the ads have turned me off.

And not being in this part of the forum, not seeing all the moronic posts from the uber left has made me a happy man.

I suspect there will be some very unhappy folks tomorrow this time. Lots of attempted wrist slashings by those same liberals.

What will be will be.. Out of my control at this point.

I see.

So when Slick Willard "inherits" a bad economic situation and doesn't turn it into boom times overnight it's not his fault.

But when Obama inherits the worst economic mess since 1929....

You should be screaming that because Slick Willard didn't take the mess he inherited and IMMEDIATELY turn it into the BIGGEST ECONOMIC BOOM IN THE NATION, he's a complete failure.

How are fact and arithmetic-free types like you supposed to catch a whiff of anything when your noses are buried in such dung heaps as Fox News and breitbart.com?

Oh BULL.

Republicans are criticizing Obama because the economy isn't BOOMING. How does that standard not apply to Slick Willard?

Basically Obama probably not too blame for the surge from 7.8 to 10% when he took over. But after th recovery started he ruined it and that is why it stopped at 7.9 and we are really not much better off then we were 4 yrs ago.

he's just not a great leader. IMO its not so bad we cant survive another 4 yrs, but we are looking for better. Romney knows how to make money and i think the govt will do better under him. I agree he is a flip flopper but so is Obama.

That was one of obummers promises in 2008- to get unemployment to 6%. If he had kept that one promise or at least put it at the forefront, this wouldnt even be a close race. Instead we get obamacare as priority #1 to pay back his cronies.

i agree Obamacare and a poorly spent stimulus the reason the recovery stalled.

This. The thing to avoid is "Great Men" who truly believe they wield this kind of power. They will always fail. The best leaders focus on preparing the team to compete. But they don't own the credit for all victory (or failure).
