Unfortunately, because of the way defenders tackle today, the same reason he's having a big day will also be one of the reasons that he could easily get hurt. There's an epidemic of bad tackling in the league. The missile tackles leads to getting gashed but it also leads to ball carriers being injured with shots to the legs. The other problem is the horsecollare tackles (not referring to grabbing inside the collar but grabbing high and sinking your weight to the ground creating the same effect).

Hey, not a whole lot to complain about these days. But it is hard not to dream about what this team would be like with Martin on it. It was the play then, and it is definitely the play today. Hopefully in 5 years we'll be happy, and the Osweiler pick can be viewed as anything but the waste it looks like right now.
