http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/t...t-trade-103012
The Jaguars are attempting to trade for Tebow, according to Steve Wrigley from Jacksonville TV station WTEV Action Sports. This isn't the first time that Tebow has been linked to his hometown of Jacksonville. Jaguars owner Shad Khan said that he would have drafted the former Florida Gators' quarterback. The trade deadline was pushed back from Tuesday to Thursday due to Hurricane Sandy. Jacksonville has been among the lowest teams in the NFL in attendance for years, and Tebow could certainly boost that number. EverBank Field -- one of the largest stadiums in the league -- has tarped off nearly 10,000 seats to lower their capacity from 76,867 to 67,246 to prevent local television blackouts. The Jaguars have also been a team rumored to move to Los Angeles. More here: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/t...t-trade-103012 This would be his 3rd team in 3 years if it goes through. Jets surely haven't been using him and at 3-5 they may as well get an extra pick or a player while they can. Last edited by broncosteven; 10-31-2012 at 11:08 AM.. Reason: New reports |

No truth to Tebow-to-Jags talk
At first blush, the notion that a Jacksonville TV station is reporting that the Jags will make a play for Tim Tebow before Thursday’s trade deadline made sense. It felt like a trial balloon from owner Shahid Khan, who likely realizes that they can stink without Tebow — or they can stink with him. Having Tebow means filling up EverBank Field for five more home games, even though they’ve lost their three games to date there by a combined score of 95-20. It also makes it easier to market the team to London, where Khan could be concerned about his ability to sell out Wembley Stadium a month after the Steelers and Vikings play there. But a source with knowledge of the situation confirms to PFT that there’s nothing to it. Though the source wouldn’t rule it out for next year, it’s highly unlikely now. So what happened? As the source explained it, Tebow is in the Jacksonville area during the Jets’ bye week, which may have sparked a chain of rumors that at some point began to feel like something more. Thus, Tebow will remain in New York, waiting for the call that may never come for him to play more than four or five snaps per game. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-to-jags-talk/ |

a 2nd for him at this point would be great for the Jags based on the money alone, Jersey sales, Tickets etc probably makes it worth it.

Jets either need to use him now as the starter or trade him. Otherwise its just a distraction for their team. Tebow is a distraction for any team unless he is the starter... and maybe even then.

the Jags are just as bad skill player wise as the Jets, the only difference is they have a top flight RB in MJD. he'll be in the same boat as with the Jets except playing more.
he'll probably struggle to excel with those players but Lewis and MJD could help him out greatly. Blackmon is talented but the team is so bad that his development is slow in terms of a high stats impact. |

Henne sucks worse. If Gabbert isn't hurt vs Raiders, Jags win that game. THey were ahead 20-6 and lost Gabbert and Jones-Drew. Gabbert isn't quite a loss cause yet.
NFL style football isn't working against other teams so why not piss off the wide recievers and get Tebow? |

he really hasn't been that bad at all. the team overall is horrible and most people never see Jags games so they're commenting off of his rookie year.

I personally think that MJD isnt even really that injured.
I think he has wanted out and you saw that in the offseason, leading into the 1st few games. Hes just mailing it in, and as planned, when he was nicked up even to the slightest extent, he simply limped off, and is out for a few games. He will not risk any real injury to himself because i think hes gone at years end. He will come back and do the exact same thing. Go down in the pile, grab his forearm or his ankle, go off for another 3 games. Wait for the offseason and walk to a huge payday. And honestly, i am hoping DEN will pay him. JAX is in total disaray as a team. Impossible to play for that team, and they need someone to sell jerseys and build a team around. Tebow effect. |

Blaine Gabbert has hit on 115 of 207 (55.6%) 1,209 yards 5.8 ypa with 7TD's and 3 INT's QBR of 77.9
Not great, but not horrible either....guessing Jags have bigger issues than QB. |

Correct. Unless the quarterback is Tebow, it is impossible to attribute the suckiness to him for a long, long time.
