that when he comes back in game 8 no make that 10 11 0r 12. because of Goodells slamming him with another couple weeks and I suspect the moron will not be in game shape walking through the door, plus a few more weeks to learn the play book so that really means later rather than sooner.. .

I think DJ is a ridiculous a$$ as much as the next guy. He is also a very gifted linebacker - much better the WW imho. He has also played more than 1 lineback position so adds lots of flexibility dealing with injuries and the like.

I do worry about how quickly he might get back into playing shape, but if we are looking to go deep into the playoffs, me thinks some DJ would be a very nice addition to this D, even if it later in the year.

Woodyard has looked better so far this year then in the past. At this point, I would leave him where he is, I would replace Mays with DJ when he comes back. DJ has played MLB before and Woodyard has not so that's why I like the switch there. And of course, having DJ and Woodyard on the field same time is a good thing. You want your best players on the field and Woodyard is better then Mays. DJ is better then both so that point doesn't need to be made.

DJ can not bring intelligence to the able as a MLB being able to make the calls for the front seven.. he failed at it when he did play it for a time frame after he was SAM, and not only was he unable to relay the calls in from the DC correctly he did not have a clue on changing it if the QB changed the play..

DJ is a dummy he can not do those things.. plus he is a drag down tackler not something you want from a MLB it is the spot where you want to meet the ball carrier in the hole or behind the LOS.. Not DJ's forte..

if he does it is a slap in the face to the rest of the defense..

JDR does not seem like the guy that would do that..

Like vilma tonight playing WIL because the guy they brought in to do it is playing the best on the D..
If he wants to play it was at WIL he has to earn his playing time..

I would hope that JDR does the same thing. for that matter unless there is an injury cut his dumb ass.. Save the money..

Woodyard, Trevarthan and Brooking all played very well tonight - albeit against the by far worst rushing offense in the league and a gimpy Jimmy Graham.

Woodyard has really stepped up over the last few games, great to see and much needed.

Now hopefully they drop DJ's ass to the curb like they should have during the off-season.

Actually if you look at last years numbers WW out played dj with six less games except on sacks. I suspect that was because he was not asked to blitz when he was in. Because this year he has 3 in seven games.
Last year he was asked to play more ST than he is this year.

Woodyard has been a candidate for the Pro Bowl as a special-teams player. This year, the voters will have to consider him as a starting outside linebacker. What he did was make 13 tackles, sack Brees once and intercept a pass when the Saints tried on fourth down.

well the interception is a good stats but it was dumb to make because it lost yardage for us..

Had he dropped it on the ground he would have still got the pass defensed and we would have gained yardage..

but what the hell he played a great game.. like he has all year..

The failed to see him drop him for a lose the next time they tried it.
