The Saints have the number one scoring and passing and yardage offense (per game) right now. They are also last in defense for yardage and fourth worst in scoring defense.
On offense Denver is not as explosive but are no scrubs. They are 6th and 7th in yardage and scoring respectively. On defense Deveris more robust ranking 11th in yardage and 17th in points. In turnover margin the Saints are even at 0 and Denver is -3. The game is at home. I think Denver can win this game, but I think it will be close. The deal breaker is the pass rush. Denver has 2 pass rushers to New Orleans' 0. I think our scoring defense is skewed by the turnovers in our own territory which I expect will start to decrease as the season goes on. I think we win by 7 or so. |

I know obvious rabb is obvious, but it's going to be all about turnovers per usual. It's a game we can and maybe even should win...but the Saints are just not to be taken lightly and having Vitt back might be a boost.
I agree with you and your take though Khan, I look for us to win a close one. |

I think we have a 0-0 tie up until the 2 minute warning and we win 38-37 at the end of regulation after holding off a late NO scoring drive.

I say we win by at least 10. Assuming we play the way we did in the 2nd half of the Chargers game. We turn the ball over and we could easily lose.

If we win it will be by double digits....
This game like the others for us rest on the TO battle, we win or tie in that area of the game, we will win. |

I do think this one will come down to the turnovers. Glad this one is at home.

If we win, the board will be pleasant. If we lose, go_broncos and lonestar will fap vigorously and shamelessly.

If the home crowd learns to shut up, on offensive plays, we win...

Big win, not indicative of the whole game. But in the 4th we just pile it on.

Why do you have us losing so big? We're coming off a bye, we're at home and I think we're healthier than they are. They aren't a winning team and their defense is really awful. I'm not saying losing is out of the question, but I don't see how they roll us this weekend...

I'm not sure that the key will actually be pass rush (although it is significantly important). Brees spends half the game throwing to his receivers, even when they are well covered. If our defensive secondary is able to trust each other (especially the safeties), the CB's can cheat on a few routes and end the Saints' hopes early.
It would be incredible to see our defensive backs put together a full game that looked like the second half of ther SD game. Oh, and Peyton F-ing Manning... |

Broncos blow out the Saints. After that comeback victory against the Chargers, and a week off to rest (and plan) they're going to come out of the gate on fire. Saints don't have a chance.

Rohirr, I could honestly see a circumstance where the Broncos think they're awesome and get punched in the mouth losing this game. I don't think its likely, especially with Peyton on team, but I hope they aren't drinking the Kool-aid.

This one worries me. New Orleans is starting to feel good about themselves and our defense is average at best.
If we are to win this game, we cannot turn the ball over. Thank gawd it's at home. Broncos 42 Saints 27 |

while we have won 3 games they were against the number 11, 25 and 18 offenses..
the losses were against number one, 12 and 13 offenses conversely our wins were against the number 2,13, and 17 defenses.. and loses were against the 3,17 and 23 defenses.. what does that all mean? those numbers are all over the place.. NOL had a horrible start and are now on a mini roll and IMO will be very hard to stop.. I voted NOL by 9 or less but I think it will be less than 4.. maybe more depending on whether we can stop their running game.. which is #32 but will get better I hope not against us.. I think we all know we will not keep brees in check but if they are able to pound the ball Manning will not be able to work his magic.. Hope we win but not holding my breath.. |
