Looks like it's going to be the Giants in the World Series versus the Tigers.
Giants up 7-0 over the Cardinals in the 4th inning in Game 7. |

Easy. When you're not as strong as you think you are, it eventually comes back to haunt you. The Yankees had more comeback wins than the Cards, and they're sitting home now too. The Cards were one of the weakest teams entering the playoffs, who got hot at the right time. Now they're paying for it.

Congratulations to my Giants. This coming for a guy that always wore #24 and played center field in little league just like his childhood idle Willie Mays.
I never lost faith, Detroit is going to be a lot harder to beat than St Louis. Good luck to each teams fans. |

MIAMI -- Ozzie Guillen was fired Tuesday after one year as manager of the last-place Miami Marlins, whose promising season began to derail in April when his laudatory comments about Fidel Castro caused a backlash.

Great....the Giants are smacking Justin Verlander around tonight.
4-0 Giants in the 3rd inning. They aren't going to hand you the World Series, Detroit. Now get to work and start playing some baseball. |

As a WS fan I would love to see Detroit get swept but SSJ is such a good Tiger fan that I hope they win one game for him and Houghton!

One thing that's amazing to watch is Zito. The guy has been dragged through the Bay Area media mud over the years for not living up to his contract. This year has been very pleasing to see for him. Throughout the fan base there were only a few supporters throughout his time here. It's good to see the stadium cheer him on.

b**** slapping Verlander around tonight... I did not see that coming. Giants looked real good tonight. I hope the pitching holds up.

If the Tigers can take Game 2 tonight, they will have gotten a split in the first two road games, which would be excellent heading back to Comerica.
Need to get the bats going early and get Doug Fister a lead to work with. Last edited by SouthStndJunkie; 10-25-2012 at 07:37 AM.. |

This has nothing to do with this being Giant Destiny. This is just the case of a DET team going up against a far superior team than any of their previous opponents. You will see. Their pitching is going to be in for a surprise against our offense. We are a patient bunch that doesn't strike out like the A's or Yanks. Again... nothing to do with destiny. Just a team with heart that fights to the max on every pitch, swing and catch. Have we had lucky breaks? Sure! But every team gets them. " 2 years ago people said it was luck, a fluke. This year luck and destiny. There is no such thing as luck or fluke on a team that reaches the WS 2 times in 3 years and completely blasts the pest pitches in the game in game 1. First Lee now Verlander! I tell you... Tiger are in for a big let down. If we win today, I say we take the series in a sweep or in 5 games. GO GIANTS!!! |
