Perhaps the lowest day in Chiefs' history came on January 2, 1983, when they drew 11,902 fans to a season ending 37-13 win over the New York Jets. On that same day, the now defunct Kansas City Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League attracted 15,000 to their game at Kemper Arena.

You do realize that the Broncos almost moved to Alabama like 10 years before that happened right? You can thank Floyd Little for that. Without him you're the Birmingham Broncos.

The Chiefs have 3 playoff wins in the last 43 years, all in the early '90's. They have not won an AFC Championship since 1969, and are on pace for the #2 overall draft pick in the 2013 draft.

Bowe is probably gone leaving question marks at WR, Dorsey/Jackson will be gone in the offseason and that leaves Poe + backups at DL. Plus a new coaching staff/GM hires and bringing in a QB.

That's a LOT of work, with a lot that can go wrong.

Now the QB carousel has begun in KFC, the odds are pretty good that if Quinn busts they could start Stanzi at some point this year.

QB Carousel's are always true indicators of pure SUCKAGE!

More like 15 years before that in 1967.

Yes STUD Denver Sucked for the 1st 17 years of it's existence but our sell out string started in 1969, 4 years before we had a winning season. KFC had success early only to see their fans bail on them when times got hard.

oh rly? i see the wiki citation for said claim is the unexpected hero, the book about floyd little.... just throwing that out there.

you know i once saw stanzi wearing a broncos hat between classes one day at iowa. hes a nice guy, but he had a bad year his senior year with the exception of his interceptions (with tons of weapons/drafted players) and from what ive seen in preseason games, has improved very little since 2009.

I'm hoping Quinn comes in and gets them to low tier respectability. I'd love to see Quinn take them right out of the top 10 draft pick position.

Just more and more proof that a quality QB has been a prime reason why this team has been so bad.
The rest of the offense has been there.

2. Kansas City Chiefs
PB = 2nd, RB = 10th, PEN = 9th
You can’t blame the Chiefs struggle on their offensive line. Branden Albert has given up just eight quarterback disruptions all year, Ryan Lilja (who was playing well at LG) looks like a natural at center, while Eric Winston and Jon Asamoah have formed a handy combination. The quarterback situation is killing this team.

That's unfathomable. Well I think a rookie QB will have a great chance at success with that kind of support.

Yes, but they did draft QB Todd Blackledge in the 1983 draft passing on both Jim Kelly and Dan Marino.

Can you imagine Elway and Marino in the same division?
