simple, it's the internet and everyone hides behind a clever user name. It's a place where people need to inflate their ego proving they are smarter than you about an issue that will never get them anywhere in life.....

For example, if you started a thread about how Kraft Mac N' Cheese is the best mac N' cheese ever, you'd be bombarded by posts telling you, that you are an idiot and Rite Food Mac N' Cheese is better (and that you are anti-Tebow, Anti-Cutler, caused Sewell's fumble in the AFCCG or personally tripped Griese).

Either that or we are all a-holes...

Probably a combo of the 2.

Not everyone. Many of the users here are real people. See tailgate pics. I have noticed a real difference in people who show up to tailgates vs people who hide behind screens as you say though. Much more accountable for what they say online.

There are some big talkers here with 10,20, 30, 50 thousand posts that nobody has ever met. It's strange to me that someone would "invest" so much time to the online community yet never reach out to shake one hand.
