Default Awful KC QB controversy (deadspin article)

http://deadspin.com/5952577/there-is...in-kansas-city

Fantastically hilarious article on deadspin about KC's qb's. They would yearn to have Orton vs Tebow (both of who beat out Quinn when he was here).

Thank God we got Manning.

another great line, "Asked if he had a feel for which quarterback the players might favor, Crennel laughed.

“They’re going to favor the guy who gives us the best chance to win,” he said. “No, no, I’m sorry about that. They’re going to favor the guy who I say is the quarterback. That’s who they’re going to favor.”

So Crennel realizes neither QB gives them the best chance to win.

Didnt the vast majority of this board call it weeks ago? KC is Cleveland West. I weep for their fanbase. Wait. No, I don't.

Does anyone here get this?

Try some ebola, try some anthrax, see where we're at. Matt Cassel has a passer rating of 66.2, good for 33rd in the NFL among qualified players. (Yes, 33rd, in a 32-team league. Both of Tennessee's horrible quarterbacks were better.) Quinn's passer rating in his start was 48.1. This is a choice like Sophie had a choice.
It is very good if you get the punch line. That movie is pretty old though.

Remember, there is always a third choice. The sweet embrace of death Ricky Stanzi.

Then I must be old if an 80's movie counts.

Screw that, I'm not old...I'm classic

Here's a video that will try to articulate the fail that the Sophie's choice quip tried to demonstrate:

I think that explains the entire problem KC faces in this scenario. It all boils down to leadership and Romeo doesn't seem to know what that is.

This would be a great move. We'd get another good draft pick and be sure to win the Geno sweepstakes.

I'll take Geno and an additional high pick instead of keeping a selfish me-first WR that drops balls.

I feel bad for KCs fans. I know most of the ones on message boards are douches but unlike Raider fans, KC's fans ARE die hards. They show up to every game and cheer hard and do their part and their front office has continually screwed them over time and time again.

For their loyalty, they really do deserve better than they have received.

There's a sweepstakes for Geno? He's got potential I guess, but has had some real duds of games and was only able to put up 14 points against Texas Tech.

25 TD's to 0 INT's, 75% completion rate and is really accurate on deep balls. I'd take him.

KFC might actually be good if they didn't trade away all their good players. It is fun watching Jared Allen on the Vikings. Drafting a QB high instead of busts at DT might help them also. Then there is the HC position...maybe after all they would still suck no matter who is on that team!

Surely you aren't comparing Geno and Brody?

Technically Quinn beat Tebow, but fan pressure prevented that. Quinn did falter in the preseason finale last year, but through camp and everything else he outplayed Tebow

Andrew Mason ‏@MaseDenver
RT @JasonColeYahoo: I can report this: Bowe wants out of KC very badly. Not exactly a revelation, but true.

The Chiefs own players don't want to root for the Chiefs.

So are we facing Barley, Jones or Geno next year? Or will the Chiefs pick another mediocre DL and go with Stanzi or some journeyman?
