Just because I attack Romney doesn't mean I support Obama. There are more than two parties. Obama has made numerous mistakes. Big ones. But as mediocre as he's been, I shudder to think what Romney's continuation of Right Wing policies would do to this country. Can you say Hooverville? |

, yeah, 99% of your posts and threads are all about how terrible Romney is, but you won't vote for Obama though despite nary a peep about why he is so bad other than tame not taxing enough or whatever timid reason. It is so believable ![]() |

Paul Ryan scams soup kitchen for a fake publicity photograph
Paul Ryan went to a soup kitchen in Ohio for 15 minutes to get a picture of him cleaning dishes that weren't even dirty. The manager of the soup kitchen says, "He did nothing!" http://www.examiner.com/article/paul...ity-photograph ![]() Last edited by L.A. BRONCOS FAN; 10-15-2012 at 10:28 PM.. |

![]() Another ignorant claim. Those European countries that are in bad shape got that way because they drank the same "free market" Kool-Aid as the U.S. during the BushCo credit/housing/equity pump and dump. |

European Socialist Democracies only took 70 years to fail, while attempting to pay for single payer and cradle-to-the-grave welfare. They can raise taxes all they want, in an attempt to balance their budgets...it will never happen. Without a strong U.S. worldwide military presence, Europe would not be able to defend themselves, because they can't afford barely any military spending...and have more defense cuts every year. The entire world would be in complete chaos if every country adopted failed European policies, which is exactly what is happening in the countries that already have. Massive inflation, massive unemployment, and permanent slow growth or recession. All amounting to inevitable collapse. How long do you think Obama and Bernanke can keep printing dollars? Here's a hint: not long. |

The U.S. was founded in 1776. Creating the most free, prosperous, and productive nation that has ever existed.
How many revolutions and economic collapses has Europe been through since then? Post 1776: 1: mid 1800's 2: WWI 1918 3: WWII 1945 4: "Great Recession" (Biden terminology, not mine) 2008-? There are undoubtedly, too many European collapses to list. Yet you see an entire continent in locked in perpetual recession, and astronomical debt...and want to copy exactly what they did? Freaking insane. |

Oh, and the reason our social security system is in trouble is because greedy politicians stole the surplus and gave it to the rich, not because the system itself is unsustainable.
“The government’s $2.5 trillion debt to Social Security is the real reason that so many politicians want to cut benefits. They are trying to find a way to avoid having to repay the looted money…. Given the fact that much of the surplus revenue from the 1983 payroll tax hike ended up in the pockets of the super rich in the form of income tax cuts, I propose a special tax on this group of taxpayers to recoup the missing Social Security money. The government used revenue from the Social Security payroll tax hike to fund tax cuts for the rich because that was where the money was. I think the government should recover the ‘embezzled’ money by taxing the rich.” Dr. Allen W. Smith |

It's just like you said, "out of control spending". And that is precisely what Obama is guilty of. He had a chance to change the tax rates to pay for his unprecedented increase in government spending, during the 2009 budget process...and instead locked in the largest spending deficits in the history of the world. |

Obama's spending is the flea on the back of the elephant of Bush's spending. But we didn't hear about that, did we? Not until Obama came into office and the Right could blame Bush's spending on somebody else, like they always do. Now, we hear about it constantly. I actually agree that spending is out of control. But, just like Europe, we aren't going to be able to do anything about it until we get the money out of our politics. As long as the greedy can buy politicians who are willing to trade taxpayer dollars in exchange for holding office, nothing will change. BTW, it requires government regulations to control spending, something the Right is vehemently opposed to. Last edited by Rohirrim; 10-16-2012 at 02:03 PM.. |

Your post has gone unanswered despite many posts by Obama supporters in other threads since you made it. Not that shocking. They'd rather tell themselves why Romney is the wrong answer than seriously ask themselves this question. There may be a few who agree with Obama and make America weaker since "that is the right thing to do to make the world even with America's evil occupation of countries" but obviously most sane people would not go along with such a thing. Most, again the sane at least, don't like the idea of their standard of living being lowered so more people in say Bangladesh can have a cell phone.
