Norv is probably one of the better offensive minds in the game. Philip has developed into one of the better quarterbacks in this game. That combination in itself makes you dangerous on offense. I don’t care what you throw at them, it’s not like it’s going to be new to them. They study a lot of tape. I’m sure they evaluate themselves every week and try to not make the same mistakes. He’s been doing it for a while so I don’t expect him to go out there this Monday and not make a few plays. He’s a good quarterback; we just have to limit him."-Champ Bailey "I think everybody’s always excited to play in that environment, but I don’t think we need that to get motivated and to get as prepared as we possibly can for this game because it is a division game, we are coming off a loss, it’s a road game, you’ve got a bye week after that, so we’d like to be able to change a little of the momentum and try to put together a road win, which we haven’t gotten yet. We’d love to find a way to get a couple consecutive wins in a row if we can. I think there are plenty of reasons to be motivated and ready for this game and the fact that it’s a division rival and you’re playing for a potential shot at first place in the division which is certainly one of our goals."-Peyton F'ing Manning "That’s going to happen from time to time. When you throw the ball a lot, you’re going to drop some balls. We’ve just got to cut back on all those mistakes. It’s the little things that are hurting us as a football team right now. If we could eliminate some of those and minimize them – maybe one or two instead of having the number that we’ve had from week to week – that will help the football team win." –Mike McCoy "Oh yeah, no doubt about it. We’ve got a big game coming on Monday night against the Chargers. It’s a division game. This is a must-win game for us."-Willis McGahee "Early on in my years they were beating us a lot. I’m still bitter from that. So we just have to have a good week of practice. I think today, we came out; the intensity and the urgency were there, as [Head] Coach [John] Fox alluded [to]. So we just have to continue that, and come Monday, we have to be on our A-Game." -Elvis Dumervil What to Watch For: S MIKE ADAMS (8 passes defensed in 2012) * - Needs one pass defensed to set a single-season career high. CB CHAMP BAILEY (33 interceptions as a Bronco/199 career GP) * - Needs one interception to tie Mike Harden (32) for the fifth-most in franchise history. * - Will play in his 200th career regular-season game against San Diego. DE ELVIS DUMERVIL (55.5 career sacks) * - Needs one sack to pass Ring of Famer Paul Smith (55.5) for the seventh- most in franchise history. S JIM LEONHARD (99 career GP) * - Will play in his 100th career regular-season game against San Diego. QB PEYTON MANNING (46 game-winning drives) * - Needs one game-winning scoring drive to tie Dan Marino (47) for the most all-time. RB WILLIS McGAHEE (62 career rushing TDs/8 100-yd. gms., 2011-12) * - Needs one rushing touchdown to tie Maurice Jones-Drew (Jac.) for the second most among active NFL players. I think we blow them out. 38-7 and it's not as close as the score would indicate.

Bersch: Broncos' slow start forgivable
You can forgive the Denver Broncos some for their 2-3 start. Their schedule has been the toughest in the league. And with a quarterback in his first year with a new team, even if it’s Peyton Manning, this could have been seen coming. It’s a team still trying to find itself. The Broncos have looked good at times, dominating the Raiders and playing a solid game in the season opener against Pittsburgh. And they’ve looked good trying to make comebacks after falling behind early to Atlanta, Houston and New England. And had a few bounces gone their way early in those games things might have been different. But in the NFL, you are who you are. The Broncos are 2-3, even if the losses have come against the best in the league. The unbeaten Texans were No. 1 in this week’s power rankings. The also-unbeaten Falcons were second and the Patriots fifth. But there are no consolation losses. Denver has a bye next week and a chance to catch its breath and regroup for the final 10 games of the season. Before then, however, is a huge game Monday night at San Diego. It’s a must-win game, in my opinion, and one the Broncos should make no excuses should they lose. The Broncos want to be with those elite teams. They believe they are. It’s time to start showing it. That starts against the Chargers, who lead the AFC West with a 3-2 record. It’s still early, but a loss at San Diego would drop the Broncos two games behind the Chargers in the division. And the Chargers would have a head-to-head victory and a division win. Those are huge come tiebreaker time to see which team wins the division. I just don’t see two teams from the AFC West making the playoffs. The good news is things are going to get easier for the Broncos. They come out of the bye against a one-win New Orleans team that last week came back to beat the Chargers. There aren’t many games the rest of the way that should scare Denver. They still play the lowly Chiefs twice and are at Oakland, a team they had little trouble with at home. They go to Carolina and to Cincinnati and have the Buccaneers, Browns and Chargers at home. The one remaining game of note is Week 15 at Baltimore. By then we should know more of what the Broncos truly are. Will they be a team capable of making it deep into the playoffs? That game should tell. It’s still a long ways until Dec. 6 when the Broncos and Ravens play at M&T Bank Stadium. A lot still is to be decided. For the Broncos, it starts Monday night. Play smart, play fast. Get in Rivers' stupid face. Hopefully he'll toss a couple Floaterceptions Champ's way.

See you guys at the game. Daughter and I are arriving around 4pm. Wish I could have afforded her a new jersey. Guess she will have to wear her Tebow.
