OT: Looking for Bluetooth for Office/Cell - The Orange Mane

Sitting here at work, playing around with a Plantronics w740 that was given to me on a free trial from one of our vendors. It's ALMOST exactly what I want, but is missing a key feature.

What I'm looking for:

Bluetooth headset that connects to an office deskphone, and my cellphone, BUT, can also be used independently as my cell bluetooth when I leave the office.

The w740 comes with a lifter for the desktop phone (which I want), and it connects with my cell phone (which I want), BUT, my cell/the bluetooth earpiece has to stay within 450 feet of the base station. I want to be able to simply leave work, and stay connected to my cell so that I don't have to separate earpieces.

Hopefully that makes sense!

Anyone know of a product that accomplishes what I'm asking?

Thanks!

EDIT: for the workphone, it has to be compatible with some type of headset lifter.
