The article relies on photos it doesn't provide.
Now back to my first reaction: what the ****ing ****!?!?! ****ing garbage ass **** is disgusting. The only thing worse than the article is the comment section where people are reveling in their hate and tooting their horns of "Christianity." I'm sure Jesus would be proud of this flock. |

Always trust the Godfather? I'd never heard of him, but ok! I'll trust him. The site says he's pure politics, he gives you the straight dope - no sensationalism.

Might want to give it time. But maybe not. Libs are like that if it is not reported by msNbc or they get it in their daily bullet points it can't be real. |

My opinion is who cares the truth of this, it just shows a bigoted near sighted hatred to pose the possibility of it in such a distorted frame.
That bring said, NO PICTURES. It's bull**** and patently shows the insecurities of way too many in this country. Edit: pictures on snopes. Ahhh... It is bull**** conceived my fear mongering idiots. God bless America and its people, even the hateful and dumb. Last edited by Irish Stout; 10-12-2012 at 08:27 AM.. |

I'm a conservative and this type of stuff is what's wrong with politics. I don't think this really matters even if he did. If he wore an Irish clauda ring, would that make him a Wiccan?
But let's not pretend both sides don't do this stuff. I recall two lies: like how Bush supposedly "didn't know what supermarket scanner was" and asked the leader of Brazil "you have blacks too?". Both didn't happen, but everyone pretended it did. |

I do not think it was fair to have so many attack Bush on false acts of dumbness, as you mentioned. However, I would argue that the attacks Obama has been subjected to under his presidency have been more vile and disgusting as they almost all go to a base of religion, race or nationality. The attacks on Obama for being incompetent, or for being a media hog are absolutely more in the "fair is fair" category in my opinion. If there was a false tale of Obama asking why there were three branches of government or a false story of Obama calling up Jay Leno and begging to be on his program to help him get a bump... well they'd still be a lie to deceive, but the nature of that type of lie is built more on bringing a President down a notch or two in the social esteem rather than tearing a man apart in societal inclusiveness based on his most fundamental differences. Attacks on Romney for his religion go to the same ground of vile. Although I do think its fair to question all people running for office how their religion influences their decisions and actions. I think it was fair to question Obama on Rev. Wright back in 08. Last edited by Irish Stout; 10-12-2012 at 10:14 AM.. |

It's much more common to see this type of thing with high-profile right-wingers than high-profile liberals.
For example, Romney called Glenn Beck a "Statesman", while Glenn Beck was calling Obama a Marxist/Muslim. |

Not only more vile and disgusting but more frequent and pervasive. I have a lot of Christian conservative relatives, including my mother, who are constantly forwarding me those hoax emails that say Obama did or said some ridiculous thing or another. And they believe them. And they've been going on and around since before he took office. There are hundreds of them. These things get forwarded to untold hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people who willingly believe this stuff. There are large swaths of the country whose beliefs about Obama have been largely built up by this clever propaganda. In times of fear and uncertainty people want someone to blame. The ignorant and misinformed are prime targets for this stuff. It works. And the fact that Obama is non-white, and has a "funny" name, and has a foreign born father, and has a "non-standard" upbringing, in the post 9/11 era, makes it all the more easy for this to work.

Obama's political associations growing up were pinkos and Reds. He himself was affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America in his early political years and joined a church teaching "liberation theology" which has Marxist overlapping, so any Christian worth his salt wouldn't consider him a true Christian anyway. The idea that Jesus "favored the poor" is completely unbiblical. The Catholic Church excommunicated such priests, several of which of whom were associated with Marxist guerrilla movements such as the Sandinistas.
Speaking of that, I'd like to see Obama explain his older videos in which he spoke of taking from the suburbs and giving to the ghettos considering he now claims he's for the middle class. Shaking them down in favor of ghetto dwellers isn't exactly "for" anyone but ghetto dwellers. Marxist economics states taking from the haves and giving to the have nots will raise the have nots, where as in capitalism it states that expanding economic opportunity will help the have nots raise themselves. |
