Just wonder if Manning might get him some work towards the end of the season. We really need that lightning-in-a-bottle type WR. I have no idea if he can be anything more than just a returner– have no Idea what kind of skill he has. But it sure would be nice...

Hopefully he just fair catches everything and secures the ball. Risking a fumble would be horrible.

Some of the most exciting punt returners have been midgets (Eric Metcalf, Dave Meggett, Glyn Milburn). Hopefully, this guy sticks.

I'm guessing Kubes gave John a heads up on this guy. Something like hey John we gotta cut this guy but he's a player you should grab him.

Holiday will have an affect just being on the field. Teams didn't fear our return game and would just bomb punts against us. Holiday will bring some hidden yards by making teams directional punt and go for more hang time thus taking away yardage. Love the signing, I gave a little fist pump when I heard it on the radio earlier today. Great signing, IMO.

My prayers are answered! Big believer in having a feared threat at punt returner, and the Broncos really haven't had it consistently since the days of Rick Upchurch.

he hasn't returned a punt yet for the broncos, and he's already better than eddie royal, rod smith, deltha oneil, or darian gordon?

Cool, hopefully he's got a chip on his shoulder and plays out of his mind for us. Damn, that's one short dude.

. It is like the post saying with Tracy Porter Denver has the best DB's in history! Guess that wore off.K.C. Clark was a damn fine returner too. Won Special Teams player of the year honors (then cut by Reeves). Speaking of which, Wade Manning won NFL man of the year, then was also immediately cut by Reeves. How about adding Mike Harden to your list? His TD return in the Coliseum is one of my favorite all time highlights. |

Not Really. He made a couple dumb decisions like fielding pints inside the 5, even fair caught one at the 5 I think. But he has incredible speed. 100 meter times in the 10 flat range and as fast as 4.20 in the 40 while at LSU. His size is actually a plus in the return game as he gets lost on the field and is able to hit full speed in only a couple of steps.
Work on his decisions and he could be a Dante Hall type in the return game. He doesn't offer anything other than return abilities though. Really haven't seen him do anything other than return duties in the NFL. In college he was the speed back. Could possibly be used as a end around type on offense. |

Hopefully our special teams can block well for him - doesn't need much of a crease to hit it big.
I remember the days of Dante Hall burning the Broncos and the myriad of blocks in the back and holding not called ... shiver. Besides the calls though the Chiefs did block well for him - many of his returns were just running through wide open lanes down the field. |

I would honestly try to work him into the offense. He's hilariously fast.
