Default We should trade Moreno to Arizona

Beanie Wells and Ryan Williams are on IR. They have NOBODY. I live in Phoenix and the talk shows are going nuts. They are 4-1 and think they can make the playoffs (not gonna happen). We could probably get a 4th round pick for him

A 4th? What has he done this year to warrant a 4th. Maybe a 6th at best

I hope so. We need to see more of Ball on the field.

I'm not sure we can really afford to trade anyone at that position, given injuries and performance. The (lack of) return just wouldn't be worth it.

I hope they trade KM to anyone. I would be happy for a 7th. The dude hasn't been active for the last 3 weeks, he is doing us no good in street clothes. I said this in other threads, I fear they are hanging on to him just for insurance should Willis or Ronnie go down for an extended period.

His contract is cheap this year but it inflates next year, no one will want him at the $ he is to be paid next year. I am afraid if we don't trade him before the deadline we will be forced to cut him at the end of the year and get nothing for him.

This deserves to be noodled through. AZ is feeling all competitive and might be enticed to giving up more than they otherwise would for the guy. We're in a seller's market here and can put a premium on his services.

This is going to sound homerish because he was a former Husker, but they do have Stewart Bradley as a back up. Former starter for the Eagles and was pretty good before the knee injury. Bradley pushed Lenon pretty hard in camp and preseason for the starting job by all accounts I have seen.

Sad thing is they know he is being deactivated because of the fumble and he has had a DUI also. If any team makes a move for him they won't be offering much.

I'd go for two first rounders but I think you're taking a reasonable position here.

Indeed. I think if AZ offered a 4th our FO should set a land speed record accpeting it.

If you'd be "happy with a 7th", then why not keep him as insurance? Worst case scenario, as you point out, is we have to cut him at the end of the year. A 7th is really no better than an undrafted FA and isn't worth us HAVING to put Ball and Hillman out there full time if anything further happens to McGahee.

What happened to Detroit needed a RB? Trade Moreno to them for Calvin Johnson.

I would prefer KM over Ball every week, that said if some how we could land Bradley for KM Bradley isn't a 3-4 ILB) I would do it. Personally I think a guy like Hightower who is a FA is a better fit for our system anyways. That way we could dump Ball.

They like William Powell and Alphonso Smith is better than Moreno.

At this point you take anything you can get for him because he certainly isn't on the squad next season.
