Pretty impressive so far when most experts think it shouldn't be till week 6 before we really start to gel offensively.

Garbage time helps a lot. Peyton got 206 of his 345 today after you were behind 31-7...nearly 3 quarters played. Do some math and it wasnt that great a day for him til garbage time. Game wasnt as close as the score suggests.

this dumb **** again. Luck was down 21-3 all his stats are garbage time stats.

Luck was down 21-3 at halftime. Not with 4 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and 24 points behind. And the Colts scored on their first possesion of the 3rd quarter .

If McGahee doesn't fumble the ball inside the 10 Denver is down less points then Indy was with less then 5 minutes in the game.

it's not like Peyton was bad when the Pats were pounding us anyway. outside of his fumble, we didn't score because 1) DT fumbled again, 2) the Pats were on the field for like an hour

But he did, and it was at the 14 yardline, not inside the 10 and it was with 3:42 left in the game. Hey, What if the Patriots dont fumble at the Denver 37 yardline just before McGahees fumble? Did you forget about that?

Be careful using YPG as a useful stat. Right now, the Chiefs are the #4 offense in the NFL if you're going by that measure.

I'm using Manning is third in the NFL in passing yards after setting out a year in football and in a new system that most experts are giving Denver at least 6 weeks to really gel and get going. Do you want his rating? He is 5th which is impressive for a guy that many thought would be washed up. Denver as a TEAM is 9th in ppg which has nothing to do with this topic really.

I'm not sure what you're trying to convince me of. Rating would certainly be a more meaningful stat, so why not post that? My point is that YPG can be heavily influenced by "garbage time," which is why the Chiefs look like a good offense when they're clearly crap. Likewise, Manning has played from behind in three games this year, which is where a lot of those yards came from.

Does that mean it sucks to have high YPG? Of course not. But it's just not a very good indicator of an offense (or offensive player)'s true strength.

-Houston, the best team in the AFC
-Atlanta, the best team in the NFC
-NE at home, who arguably is the best team in the NFL when they are at home
