Before the season started I was hoping to be within a game of the Chargers come the bye week with our hardest part of the schedule gone. Beat them Monday night, and we are tied with them, with the tiebreaker advantage and they still have to come to Denver.

Winnable games after the bye

KC x 2
Oakland
SD at home
Cleveland
TB
Carolina
New Orleans

Win Monday night and we should get to 10-6 and win the division by 2 games.

The Saints Defense looked 'horrible'.. the Broncos -defense is better.

Take away the Chargers deep throws and the Broncos win by 17pts.

with our defense, i have some trepidation. We should be able to get our points but they were battering Brees most of the night. luckily the tempo won't be like the pats game but matthews could have a big game. doom was largely invisible yesterday. the pass rush has to get to phyllis, even if we don't get sacks.

we should win in sd, which is why i'm worried.

I basically feel the same way. We beat SD at home and I can see us winning every game remaining on our schedule. The Bengals and Ravens could be tough for us, but I think we should have a great 2nd half of the season. Start 3-3, finish 9-1.

I just wanted the Broncos to finish 3-3 going into the bye week and that is still a great possibility. This SD game is gonna be fun to watch.

Im very concerned about the defense. With the exception of the 2nd half against the raiders, we really haven't stopped anyone until they've put up close to 30 points on us. Teams that let little danny woodhead run for a first down on 3rd and 17 have a heck of a lot of work to do.

Run D needs to show up. Mathews gets well over 100 yards everytime he plays us. Im less worried about our pass D. Von Miller should be in the backfield eating rivers alive all game long.

Monday's game is looking like a must win to get the Div Title, and we really need to sweep SD. But, with all the weak teams in the AFC maybe 2nd place at 9-7 or 10-6 gets a wildcard.

I don't see how he is going to magically get his groin well enough to deal with either Doom or Von coming off the edge. So, yes, you are correct.

The nickle run D keeps getting gashed. I heard 145 of NE's 251 rushing yds came against the nickle D, including the 3rd and 17 conversion by Woodhead.

Huge game. 3-3 and tied for first with the schedule getting better is so much more palatable than 2-4 and two games back from SD who also has a pretty manageable schedule.

The 3rd down defense has to get better. We had NE in so many 3rd and long situations, right where you want them only to have them convert. Rivers is capable of converting those as well. Also need to score TD's in the first quarter. To many mental errors that lead to missed points.
