See, I can't go that far...yet. I've seen economists, in whom I have confidence in their competence, say this kind of thing:

Kinda sad when Obama's main message to America is 'you shouldn't change horses as you're drowning in midstream' and 'Remember the Boom of 2011!'

Real unemployment rate is 14%. Really cause they are calculating it the same way they have for decades but you think we should calculate in some new way that screws things to the way you want to see.......you want the economy to get worse because a POS such as yourself is more concerned about your party ! You need an attitude adjustment, maybe you could then come back to reality. Impossible to debate someone who lies and changes the facts............like you and Romney do at every turn. |

It's sad that all you have to do to "win" a Presidential debate these days is lie a lot, make big promises that you can't possibly keep, and look sincere while doing it. SMDH
![]() And of course Romney benefitted from the fact that Obama didn't call him out on it enough. |

Bad news for TeaPublicans...
A chart for Friday: The unemployment rate under Obama. As Steve writes on the blog, "If I had a nickel for every time Mitt Romney has said the unemployment rate has been above 8% throughout the Obama presidency, I'd have, well, nearly as much money as Mitt Romney. "Today, however, the talking point died. The unemployment rate fell unexpectedly, dropping from 8.1% to 7.8%." http://maddowblog.msnbc.com/ ![]() |

I love how every time the facts get in the way of the Republican argument, those numbers suddenly because "faked" or "don't tell the true story". But if the unemployment # were higher then they would be running around yelling that Obama was killing the economy and using the BLS data.

![]() U.S. companies added more jobs than expected in September, while activity in the vast services sector picked up, suggesting the economy remained on track for modest growth. The ADP National Employment Report showed private employers added 162,000 jobs in September, more than economists expected, but fewer than the 189,000 hired in August. Separate data from the Institute for Supply Management showed that new orders helped growth in the service sector to pick up to 55.1 in September, the best pace since March, from 53.7 a month earlier. "It looks more like things are heading in the right direction. It is this new reality - we don't have robust growth, we just have very moderate growth," said William Larkin, fixed income portfolio manager at Cabot Money Management in Salem, Massachusetts. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...8920QD20121003 I guess Reuters is in on the conspiracy.
