The glass BMW reminds me of the cars in "Demolition Man"

I never understood what concept car shows were all about. Is it just to show how unimaginative their current designs are or what?

Anyone putting out glass doors should be put out to pasture. I would think someone in Detroit would say , "Hey, let us do a concept with, get this, glass doors! I don't think it has ever been done before!"

Would you really want to drive around with the inside of your car (and yourself) that much exposed?

Ironic Peugeot makes cars because if they concentrate on bicycles, it would probably pedal faster than their cars. Jag, Infiniti and McLaren concepts looked great.

For those of us who don't masterbate or blow weed in the car it isn't a problem. I am guessing they could tint them or even color them.

really? This is where the car manufacturers promote their image as well as "concepts" that look to the future. It's not so much about the current state of affairs or the current designs but more about future possibilities and where they see their company going. It's pretty cool stuff.

also, the chicks are pretty hot too. so there's that.

Meh, I guess I don't care much for useless promotion of image. Show me what you've got, not what you might have in 10 years.

This reminds me of blowhards in cubicles talking about how they've got these ideas that are are going to make them rich in 5 years, and using that to explain why they suck at their current job.

PS edit- Also sounds like a description of Chiefs Planet.

There are current products too, like the Porsche Panamerica, then there are the real "out there" concepts that never come to fruition. The difference between the cubicle worker blowhard and these car shows is that the companies already have a proven history to back up their concepts.

why would you want to advertise to a potential criminal what's in your car? they already break windows, now they'd just have to bust the door.

I only pick my nose and flick the bugger at the unsuspecting car next to me. Normally it is at someone day dreaming about his daughter's teenage sleepover that night. Too close to home Steven?
