Some ChefsPlanet regulars have been collecting donations to hire an airplane to pull a banner around the stadium on Sunday. It looks like they have the money to do it. The banner will say, "WE DESERVE BETTER! FIRE PIOLI - BENCH CASSEL!" (The link takes you to the ChefsPlanet thread, in case you are interested in reading it).
How much does it suck to be a Chefs fan right now? They were just giddy over Tebow being our starting QB last year. It's funny how everything turned out. We won the division - with Tebow. We won a playoff game - with Tebow (younger Chefs fans haven't seen their team win a playoff game in their lifetime). And now, the Chefs and Broncos are franchises going in opposite directions - and that's putting it lightly. Anyway, the banner thing is kind of funny. That has to be embarrassing, for the Hunt family. |

I really hope they do it......and, more importantly, show it on tv. That would be a perfect ending to this coming weekend's "C'mon man" segment.

I read some of the thread, pretty entertaining really. Have to give them credit, they raised a **** load of money real quick, and it looks like they are going to actually fly the thing. Those guys are definitely hating life right now though.

Remembering the media storm surrounding the Tebow/Orton billboards last year. Nice to be on the outside of the QB chaos for a year.

I personally think it's awesome. It really does suck to be a Chiefs fan right now - there's no use in sugar coating it. The fact that Pioli hasn't done ANYTHING to even TRY to address the QB situation in KC is criminal.
Will the banner make any difference? Probably not. But it'll at least increase the volume of criticism that the Chiefs have to deal with a bit, and hopefully it'll make Clark realize that people are nearing the end of their tolerance for this experiment. |

It's all fun and games until Pioli scrambles his Messerschmitts.

Be careful what you wish for Bronco fans.
Pioli looks to be fired this year and Clark will bring someone new in. Who's to say that the new GM won't draft a first round QB and get a capable coach? Karma is a dangerous thing. But either way, Pioli is our McD. They will soon get the same exit. |

While I enjoy watching KC suffer, the days of giggling at their ineptitude may be shortening. I hope they turn their season around, end up 2nd or at worst 3rd in the division and outside picking in the top 5 of ANY draft. Just want to keep the decades of mediocrity going. |

There is a lot of support for Orton in that thread. I can't imagine getting to a point where it was so bad that I thought Orton was good.

I do think flying a banner after being frustrated at not seeing your team in the SB in over 40 years and not winning a playoff game in nearly 20 is smart. If nothing else they get to vent their frustration. |
