You've gotta give him a shot. If you're already not completing 50%, you're not losing anything. Maybe he'll spark something on that dumpster fire of a team.

If he takes that team over and gets to the tourney, I don't want Denver to have to play him

Cause Denver's really going to play the same scheme Pitt did.....New England laid out the blueprint, and did it with a defense that was statistically one of the worst in the league. Just play him straight up and confine him to the pocket. Make him beat you with his arm, while playing coverage and not selling out with dumb zero blitzes.

Sanchez does suck. But even given that, the Jets don't have the tools to make him better. Tebow's the only thing in the arsenal that can change things around enough to give their D a chance to hang around. The parallels to last year are pretty crazy. |

I hear what your saying about would and could, but there is nothing I see that says he could. Broncos defense helped him out in that Pitt game a little bit, but the jets defense is a mess. 23 points isn't enough. I don't see anything in his play this year that leads me to believe he can score even 1 point. Which he hasn't done as a jet in preseason or regular season.

Rex Grossman played in a Superbowl. It's more like Sanchez was taken to the AFC championship twice. He's also regressed each of the past two years. Mark Sanchez is a younger, more mobile Kyle Orton. Not a bad guy to have as a backup, but not the guy. As far as Tebow goes, my guess is he starts by week six or so, the Jets continue to tank and they finish 5-11/6-10 ish. Rex gets one more year and drafts a QB to replace Sanchez. Tebow continues to be a slash type player. Or Rex gets ****canned, in which case the new regime gets rid of both Sanchez and Tebow and starts fresh with a rookie.

There's still a lot of football left to be played. If Rex is any kind of a coach (and I personally don't like the Ryan brothers as coaches) he will get this team turned around. Believe it or not, they do have some talent. Sure, Revis is out for the year but every team suffers from injuries so that's really not a valid excuse to suck.
This is on Ryan. This is where a real coach, a real leader, makes the difference between a winning season and a chaotic mess. |

PIT won with defense all year. Until they played us. We put up more passing yards on them than any other team. And more points than most. |

I think the Jets will wait as long as possible to put Tebow in... once they do, they're essentially saying that Mark Sanchez is done there. Best case scenario for NY Jets (not wishing it myself) is if Sanchez were to face a small injury that kept him out a game or two. That would be a very convenient excuse much like the circumstances here in Denver.

And a cover zero that was balls on the table obviously a cover zero. No disguising it, no trying to promote confusion, just flat out daring him to throw, which to Timmy's credit he did. Also, even if Tebow does start and teams do go cover zero against him, it's not like the Jets have a receiver with Demaryius' size, speed, strength metrics.
