Actually, there isn't a DE in the league with more pressures than Dumervil, they just haven't turned into sacks. Yet.

Same thing for Miller. There isn't an OLB in the league with more pressures than Miller, but they have turned into sacks for him.

We've been in some close games. It's not like we've had much of a chance to pin our ears back and go after the QB. Only time that has happened was the end of the Pitt game and we saw what happened there. I've seen him pushing the tackle back into the QB a number of times but the QB just gets the ball out before he can make a play. I'm guessing that if everyone knows where are weaknesses on D are, so i'm sure NFL D Coordinators do as well. You'll notice that the last two weeks and even against NE last year, they get the ball out quick not giving our pass rush time to get there. You will also notice they attack the middle of the field a lot. Our weaknesses are still up the middle of the D at DT and MLB.

b**** when he can't stop the run. He fixes that now b**** because he doesn't have a sack. Here are some notable DEs with zero sacks. Mario Williams and Jared Allen. Must be the money.

It has also been said here how much he's been getting held with out any calls...

The 3-4 work so well, because we were able to disguise him and use him all over the field.

It allowed to him take advantage of his first step and quickness in open space.

Broncos coach John Fox said Elvis Dumervil’s play is “fine” despite no sacks in two games for the star defensive end. The Broncos had five sacks in Week 1, but only one sack against the Falcons. The pass rush is supposed to be the Broncos’ strength, but it was a non-factor against the Falcons.

I sort of admired the way you stuck your guns when you were saying Shanny should go and the entire Omane laughed at you and said "what part of coach for life don't you understand? He's not going anywhere."

But slamming Doom after 2 games seems way too premature. Calling him a clown is just plain inacurate.

This myth really bothers me.

While the Broncos were using the "3-4", Dumervil was still lining up in pretty much the same technique as he would as the RDE in a 4-3. He was still on the outside of the line (3-4 over front), so there is very little difference in how he was utilized in each scheme. Furthermore, scheme has nothing to do with lining a player up to take advantage of matchups.

While Dooms performance in the sack department leaves much to be desired, I have noticed he has been held on almost every play where he's on the same side as the camera. Also, he has stepped up his run stop a bit.

AFC West

Denver Broncos: In 2011 Elvis Dumervil went eight straight games with a sack late in the season. While he doesn’t have a sack yet this year, he has 13 overall pressures which ties him for the most among defensive linemen.
