Toledo native Fred Davis is a big loss for the Redskins.

He was off to another decent season before the torn Achilles tendon in today's game.

Chris Cooley re-signed with the Redskins to replace Davis.

That injury probably cost Fred Davis a nice long term contract.

Last season he was having a very good year (59-796-3 TDs) before getting suspended for the last 4 games of the season.

I don't see any way he gets a multi year deal between the suspension last season and the torn Achilles tendon this season.

Green Bay Packers defensive back Charles Woodson has a broken right collarbone and will be out approximately six weeks, coach Mike McCarthy announced Monday afternoon.

Woodson Played A Lot
Charles Woodson has played 95.9 percent of the Packers' defensive snaps this season, missing just 21 snaps. He's one of four Packers defenders to play in at least 90 percent of the team's snaps this season.

Woodson, 36, suffered the injury during the Packers' victory over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

McCarthy said Woodson has an X-ray on Monday morning, which confirmed the injury. He said the plan is for Woodson to return and the Packers will play with 52 players this week.

Woodson broke his left collarbone in Green Bay's Super Bowl XLV victory over Pittsburgh. McCarthy said this injury to his right collarbone isn't as serious as the previous injury to his left collarbone.

Sean Lee is out for the year. Cowboys are just about done. Who is up next to get canned from his dream job?

Seeing a lot of throwback jerseys lately. Are the broncos going to play with any? I'd like to see them wear the helmets and jerseys of the 80s

he turned down TB. I wonder if he wins a championship he will be ready for a new challenge. They are pretty much the best team in the Pac 12

He's gonna be a very good HC and I hope he goes to the Chiefs. Rumor is the Browns are high on him.

How so?

Wasn't it Chip Kelly who agreed that he should repay an Oregon Fan's expenses a couple years ago when Blount went stupid in Boise? He even sent a check to the fan for his expenses saying he agreed, they played disgraceful and Blount was embarrassing. Maybe that was before Kelly, but I don't think so.

Edit... Yep, it was Chip Kelly. Here is the story.

Adrian Peterson (1,128 yards) and Marshawn Lynch (1,005) are the first RBs to hit the 1,000 yard mark this season.

It's unbelievable that Adrian Peterson blew out his knee last Christmas Eve and this season through 10 games he's got 1,128 yards rushing and is averaging 5.8 yards per carry.

He will be a strong consideration for come back player of the year. It's between him and manning.

I agree....both are very deserving.

I would have no problem with them tying in the voting and sharing the award.

He's the product of having good players around him, especially in his time in Minnesota. But I think he can play strong side DE, especially in a scheme like ours, as he is a plus run defender with some ability to pass rush.

Any 4-3 team needing some help on the edge.

My inner GM would tell me that a team like Cleveland could pursue him to play strong side, and then they draft Jarvis Jones to play SOLB and run a scheme like us and Seattle which would give Cleveland a very formidable front.

Sheard, Taylor, Rubin, Edwards.. With Jones coming around Edwards and Jackson at Mike.. With a great corner in Haden and SS in Ward.

That's just my speculation..

We have often said over the years, "Oh coach so and so can coach him up" but we may now have a DC than can really get more out of players than many other coaches have.

I think what JDR has done with this defense is nothing short of amazing. Nobody buy nobody thought this collection of defensive players would come together and play at the level that Del Rio has them playing. Which one of you thought the broncos defense would be ranked #6 in the league?
