Default Vote suppression all the rage.

In between speeches complaining of not getting enough government support, speeches complaining of too much big government, and a large selection of random moments of insanity the GOP kept the vote suppression train rolling. Why let the poor minorities have all the fun when they can go after Ron Paul supporters as well?

http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2012...medium=twitter

Quote:
Following the dust-up, Yelena Vorobyov (pictured below), a 30-year-old Paul delegate from Apple Valley, Minnesota, was eager to vent. Barely taking a breath, she said: "This is just evidence of the manipulation of the Republican Party. They're not even allowing us to bring signs in, but they brought in their own [pro-Romney] signs. We couldn't nominate Ron Paul. The 'no' for not passing the rules was louder than the 'aye' and they ruled in favor of the rules. They're cheating. The Republican National Committee is not transparent and does not have integrity. They stole votes. They stole delegates. They refused to send busses for our delegates. It's a totalitarian process. This is not democracy. It's a really sad day for us. I've worked for Republican candidates since I was 16. We believed the Republican Party had more integrity. Boy, did they prove us wrong."
I would bold the relevant parts but I would have to post the entire article and then bold the entire wall of text.

Funny liberals worrying about Ron Paul, a guy they mock until they can use him of course.

The GOP is more afraid of Paul than liberals are.

That's why they refuse to let delegates choose him or let him speak.

In other words, something is being fixed that ain't really broke. Additionally, conservatives are allegedly all about being faithful to the constitution. Where does it say an inidivdual has to have an ID to excercise their voting rights? It's a right every individual has simply by being a citizen. Requiring an ID amounts to a poll tax, which ain't in my copy of the Constitution. Finally, you have the Republican ON TAPE admitting that the laws are designed to help Romney win in Pennsylvania by disenfranchizing likely Democratic voters, and the other individual who actually helped write one of the laws having a racist exchange via email with one of his constituents. But this is all about ensuring the integrity of the voting process, right? GTFO.

I'll bet that SC has an exception process for people that don't have a BC. and the Constitution does address voting an the rules about voting. Guess you need to brush up...i don't know...maybe take an opportunity and read it. :p

Federal court rejects Texas voter ID law

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal court on Thursday rejected a Texas law that would require voters to present photo IDs to election officials before being allowed to cast ballots in November.

A three-judge panel in Washington unanimously ruled that the law imposes "strict, unforgiving burdens on the poor" and noted that racial minorities in Texas are more likely to live in poverty.

A defeat for organized crime, a.k.a. the republican party.

They barred Ron Paul's delegates from the convention. I bet they didn't bar Romney's delegates from the 2008 election (all 2 of them.) They agreed to let RP speak if he went along with their platform. He refused.

They also didn't want any part of Smirk & Dick.

When was the last time one of the major parties didn't feature its last sitting president at its convention?

These clowns are hoping America has forgotten how disastrous their policies were for America during the Bush Junta.

this is a republic. it is designed to be one. show ID or don't vote. hell, if i had my way, you'd have to pass a math test to vote. (i.e. make change for a purchase.) Half of Amerjika would fail.

oh no, not politically correct.

If I had my way, only those who have a net loss in taxes to fund our government could vote.

Default Federal Judge Restores Early Voting In Ohio After Obama Suit

http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.co...-after?ref=fpa

Quote:
A federal judge in Ohio on Friday restored early voting rights in the three days before the election, ruling in favor of the Obama campaign.

U.S. District judge Peter C. Economus ruled that "restoring in-person early voting to all Ohio voters through the Monday before Election Day does not deprive UOCAVA voters from early voting."

"Instead, and more importantly, it places all Ohio voters on equal standing," Economus ruled. He said the state "fails to articulate a precise, compelling interest in establishing the 6 p.m. Friday deadline as applied to non-UOCAVA voters and has failed to evidence any commitment to the 'exception' it rhetorically extended to UOCAVA voters."

The Romney campaign had falsely accused Obama of trying to curtail military voting when the suit simply sought to force the state to make early voting available to all Ohio voters

So when no McCain signs were let into Obama's 2008 DNC speech at Invesco Field, it was voter suppression.

I think this calls for a MENSA application.

... I'd love to know what the political persuasions were on that panel, since the excuse they gave is hilarious and pathetic.

According to their logic, then --

It is "strict and unforgiving" to expect ID to check out a library book, ride on an airplane, cash a check, get a job, open a bank account, buy a car, or enter a federal building. OH how oppressive this country is!

Worse, people actually believe that excuse. All it tells me is that the Dems are knee-deep in voter fraud and want to keep it that way.

The gullibility of liberals never ceases to amaze.

The voter fraud statistics don't back you up Mensa boy. But as we all know the party of Goebbels doesn't let science, facts or truth stand in the way of their views.

Also, none of those are a right guaranteed by the constitution, there are no laws requiring people to have an ID, and that statistics show that voter fraud is so rare as to not exist for all practical purposes, and that these voter ID laws don't address what little fraud does exist, as admitted by the very same people who write those laws.

But never let facts get in the way of wanting your candidate to win by getting less black people and college students to vote.
