Honestly, I appreciate your explanation (you could have just remained silent); but it seems pretty random. I could probably pick a half dozen-ish threads on the main board right now, and move them - using similar logic. At the end of the day, the purpose of the Mane - the ONLY purpose, if you get right down to it - is to entertain. Sure, there are all kinds of qualifications that can be added to that. But when you think about it, the ONLY purpose of the Denver Broncos and the NFL is to entertain. The Mane, if anything, is simply a level deeper into the entertainment racket - since it is here to discuss the entertainment that is football.

So, I would say that effectively killing a thread that is A) about the Broncos (maybe not something you, personally, want to talk about - but it was about the Broncos, nonetheless); and B) doing a great job at entertaining (judging by the activity in the thread) - well, that seems to be something a mod should encourage.

I agree with you on that point. The problem is, even despite a supposedly clear "Forum Guidelines", one never really gets the sense that the mods all understand, agree with, or evenly enforce what's even posted on there.

If you're allowed to criticize, then people with a long history of criticism will jump on the bandwagon. And that would be really difficult to deal with, whether it's warranted or not. It's just easier to do it this way.

This place does, in fact, grow and evolve... in fact, some members of the community have expressed a wish that it hadn't changed as much as it has.

It's indeed possible that I misread the tone of your post; we've always been friends. What I meant by re-posting the entire paragraph of the rules was... if you strongly disagree with the decision to move the thread, taking the issue/question to TJ via PM is probably a better option than openly and repeatedly questioning it; which can and frequently does spark a pile-on of open criticism of the forum moderators.
