Honestly, I appreciate your explanation (you could have just remained silent); but it seems pretty random. I could probably pick a half dozen-ish threads on the main board right now, and move them - using similar logic. At the end of the day, the purpose of the Mane - the ONLY purpose, if you get right down to it - is to entertain. Sure, there are all kinds of qualifications that can be added to that. But when you think about it, the ONLY purpose of the Denver Broncos and the NFL is to entertain. The Mane, if anything, is simply a level deeper into the entertainment racket - since it is here to discuss the entertainment that is football.

So, I would say that effectively killing a thread that is A) about the Broncos (maybe not something you, personally, want to talk about - but it was about the Broncos, nonetheless); and B) doing a great job at entertaining (judging by the activity in the thread) - well, that seems to be something a mod should encourage.

Once preseason starts, in the eagerness to read the latest news on how the team... especially the young players... are looking in camp and/or in preseason games, it's very easy to overlook the "We're In On-Season Mode" announcement. That announcement usually does result in the almost-immediate movement of several non-football threads in the effort to comply with the "football-only" directive... and sometimes the mere fact that a thread was moved at this time of year can signal the change of mode even if the announcement thread wasn't noticed.

It is unfortunate that this fun thread was very active at a coincidental time as the change back to football-only for the main forum. However, the move shouldn't be perceived as "hostile" or as an intentional attempt to kill the thread or to limit any entertainment or enjoyment of football or the Mane...you're absolutely correct that the entertainment value is what we're all here for.

There is somewhat of an upside... if one ever wants to look for the thread (like a year or so in the future) it's far easier to find on this forum than it would be if it were buried in the archives of Central Discussion (same concept as the Ambien thread... lol).

For several years the OM would have a number of threads started my members that would go to training camp and give great reports. The Mane was quoted all over other Bronco sites. Guys like Kaylore and So Cal were known to most Bronco fans. This was always a special time of year for the fans and this site.

This year our most active thread is one attempting to name our top pick after a most destructive drug. One of the posters contributing the most to this crap is the very poster that would take vacation time and come to camp and write very good reports on what he was seeing.

I know it's supposed to be a joke but I wonder how hard Mr. Wolfe would be laughing. We should get that camp pass back any day now with the site sporting threads like this.
