Linebacker Dont'a Hightower and the New England Patriots have agreed to terms on a four-year deal, according to a league source.

Hightower, a linebacker out of Alabama, was the 25th overall pick in April's draft. The Pats traded up to get him, sending a first-round pick (31st overall) and a fourth-round pick (126th overall) to the Denver Broncos for No. 25.

RIP Cleveland Elam:

Former NFL defensive lineman Cleveland Elam dies at 60

Cleveland Elam, an extraordinarily talented defensive lineman whose promising career was cut short by knee injuries, has died at the age of 60.

In 1976 Elam had a team-high 17.5 sacks (which weren’t yet considered an official NFL statistic), earning the first of his two consecutive Pro Bowl selections.

You should've started a thread with "Elam dead" as the title. That would've had real potential.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cowboys have signed first-round cornerback Morris Claiborne.

He’ll get a four-year deal worth $16.26 million, all guaranteed, with no offset language in his contract.

They must be expecting Heyward-Bey to actually get open and catch the ball this year.

In 2011 he had 64 catches for 975 yards and 4 TDs with a 15.2 ypc average. Yep. Definately a guy you don't want on the team.

Anyway, the Murphy trade was a little suprising. It likely has to do with him not being perceived as being a good route runner for the new offense that's being installed.

Congratulations on doing even worse than that.

Chill out Faider fan. That clip has been played here for over 2 years now and it shows one reason why he was a reach as a top 10 draft pick. I mean Hayward Bey outruns the dude that he is supposed to tackle. That is some funny ****.
