No HRs for Albert Pujols in the month of April.
I would think he will get on track sooner or later....but if he somehow takes a **** and doesn't start hitting like the All Star he is, it will go down as a 1/4 billion dollar mistake by the Angels. That said, I'm pretty sure he will get hot and start mashing again. He might be 38 years old for all we know. |

Yes, very exciting game and Angels actually gave him more than a few runs of support with a 9-0 lead. Before the game, the pregame announcers were asking if Weaver can give the bullpen another night off after Jerome Williams 3 hit the Twins to a 4 to 0 victory. Oh boy, did he ever give them that break! Couldn't be there but winning 3 in a row has got to give this team some momentum. Weaver is now 4-0 with a 1.61 ERA.

It's only the start of May....Prince will have his 35 HRs and 100+ RBIs at the end of the year.

Jhonny Peralta with a walk off 2 run HR in the bottom of the 9th inning to give the Tigers a 5-4 win over the White Sox.
The Tigers needed a win like this to get things going. |

Pujols hit his first homer, finally. He'll probably go on a tear now.

God, I hope so. Get that one finally out of the way. It was embarrasing still to see our old mistake catcher on the BlueJays hitting with a better average and more HRs than Pujols. Mathis was the catcher our FORMER GM decided to keep and trade off Napoli to the Blue Jays (then packaged to the Rangers).

From Joe Strauss of the St Louis Post Dispatch: "After opening 2011 with one home run in his first 43 at-bats, Pujols also endured 29 games without a home run before finishing with 37. He rebuilt his batting average by hitting .355 while also amassing 20 RBIs last September."
