The Broncos have ~$98M in active contracts. It makes sense that they won't be signing any future UFA's until Manning decides. Manning would feasibly consume the rest of the cap with the payout he would have received in his Indy contract ($28M roster bonus, $16M salary), with $4M leftover to sign draft picks.

don't know why anyone is still holding out hope at this point...

his dragging of feet in the early going was him stalling for other more preferred teams to jump in the race...hence Tenn and SF...

he got what he wanted... unfortunately it comes at the expense of heartbreak for jilted broncos fans...

Its been confirmed by multiple sources hes been in contact over the weekend with all teams involved.

Jason LaCanfora, Adam Schefter, Chris Mortenson, Mike Lombardi they all said the same thing.

All 3 teams still very much in the mix.

Lombardi says thinks the Denver line can protect Peyton, who would better utilize the Broncos' skill players and allow Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil to "constantly rush the passer." As for the Niners, Lombardi doesn't see why Manning and Jim Harbaugh couldn't coexist.
