He also apologizes for being in such great demand, and knows it is his fault we find all of these suitors and coverage so annoying. Manning also "gets" the comparison to Favre, even though he has never feigned retirement, and this is March, not July. But they are both QBs. In short, Manning is really, really sorry for taxing our attention spans and forcing us to obsesses ceaselessly over his decision.

such a dumb statement made by that guy. No one would be upset if Manning did what he said he would, i.e. sign before free agency to attract and help the team he signs with. Instead he's handicapped all three teams by his repeatedly pushing the decision back.

In SF's case, they might lose their starting qb to the dolphins, the Broncos are missing out on some players that would fit nicely in our club as well.

Mario Williams was almost as high profile of a free agent and he had no problem deciding within the first few days that the Bills were the right fit for him. Personally I think the whole thing reeks of CAA trying to drive the price up while espn and the nfl get more coverage and interest in their typically lowest interest time of the year.

Of course Manning can take his time making a decision, though safe to say most free agents don't need grand tours, teams flying across the country to meet, talking to multiple teams while their players at that position are also left wondering, and taking a week or more to make a decision. Most seem to be able to make life changing decisions quicker and with less drama. Oh, and Manning wouldn't pick the Broncos because he might have to play a couple games in snow? A tough guy like Manning would really base a decision on that?

Pretty tough to make a decision before FA began, when he never even received any contract offers at that point.

Now that they are out of it, wonder what the next excuse will be for them to have no FA activity?

In a stunning development Manning will sign with the Patriots citing the, "If you can't beat'em, join'em" school of thought for the basis of his decision.

Book it.

Do you have any info that they even said hello to each other the entire weekend? How is it that he's communicating with tenn and ignoring us? That's what he did to miami. When their media outlets are reporting the broncos are eliminated its cause manning is communicating with the titans resulting in leaks.

We have incarcerated bob spitting out lies to rile up Titan and niner fans.

The Broncos have ~$98M in active contracts. It makes sense that they won't be signing any future UFA's until Manning decides. Manning would feasibly consume the rest of the cap with the payout he would have received in his Indy contract ($28M roster bonus, $16M salary), with $4M leftover to sign draft picks.

if he was coming to denver, he would have by now...

don't know why anyone is still holding out hope at this point...

his dragging of feet in the early going was him stalling for other more preferred teams to jump in the race...hence Tenn and SF...

he got what he wanted... unfortunately it comes at the expense of heartbreak for jilted broncos fans...

That makes no sense. Then he's been dragging his feet with SF and Tenn for a week now too

Its been confirmed by multiple sources hes been in contact over the weekend with all teams involved.

Jason LaCanfora, Adam Schefter, Chris Mortenson, Mike Lombardi they all said the same thing.

All 3 teams still very much in the mix.

Tenn has been in it just as long. The 9ers have been in it since Tuesday. Using your reasoning, they also have no shot at Manning...

9ers don't have enough money. They won't get him.

Manning is coming to Denver. Watch. You are all crazy BTW, with all this negative bs.

Niners have far less than that in space. That doesn't matter.

11:19 am Mike Lombardi's sense is that Denver is the leader for Manning, and he's hearing the Titans are a "long shot." Lombardi says thinks the Denver line can protect Peyton, who would better utilize the Broncos' skill players and allow Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil to "constantly rush the passer." As for the Niners, Lombardi doesn't see why Manning and Jim Harbaugh couldn't coexist.

You thought incarcerated bobs tweets last night were for real. He was just doing that to keep niner and titans fans up. Clearly he thinks he's relevant in the media world.
