This is a far cry from the confidence EFX exuded coming out of last weekend. We're easily in the weakest position of the big 3 players now. We can't outspend the Titans, because to their owner, money is no object. We can't be the best route to the dance, because SF is clearly superior.

And both teams have been actively building their teams during this process. We've been stalking Peyton. Probably calling his house and then hanging up when he answers, just to see if he's home, or if he might be with that b**** Tennessee again.

Broncos don't have the most sentimental landing spot to offer -- that's Tennesee.

Broncos don't have the strongest running back -- that's Titans.

The only thing they can do is back the truck up and pay him the most.

Point to notice. Peyton hasn't started his throwing session. The guy who "broke" story said it may have been altered because of attention. Fact is no national media has reported anything. Who knows if Manning is throwing today.

Of course they are cash strapped. That's why Xander's spins "cheap" with "value signings". Wake up people. Value signings equals cheap. They had plenty of cap space last year and this year. The new CBA doesn't force a team to spend up to the cap in 2011 or 2012. They saw this as an opportunity to keep the payroll way low for 2 years before they are required to spend. This manning saga Is showing that they are switching from cheap mode. But if they don't get him don't look for spending for someone else. It's back to being cheap.

I agree with everything but that last one. Bud Adams will pay what it takes. No matter what has to be done to free up the money. And like I've said before, they can save some coin in cutting (or dealing) Hasselbeck. That's another 6 or so a year they can give Peyton that costs nothing against their cap.

Pat Bowlen is giving us the Bidwell. Low payroll, high prices for inferior product and just play make cash on the Brand. We are chumps.

Yeah that is why I think Denver should have added some players or coaches to entice Manning. I do think FO is living in the past with their league rep too its not as strong as it was in the mid 90's. Money issues too we never really had a shot we were here to up the price and garner interest from teams he really wanted.

Harbough handed over reigns to him. He is great offensive mind, has good team. 9ers have become very calculated with persuits. The did same thing with Harbough. They worry me.

Harbaugh inherited singletarys team. They didn't change a whole lot on their roster. Harbaugh just knew how to coach them. Baalke and York make a lot of decisions. That team used FA just as much if not more for talent. Good team all they way around. Horrible stadium.
