At this point, Denver's only chance to sign Manning is if you post a few more taunts.

I would have never given him the time of day. I hate him. I hate how he embarrassed Denver time after time. I used to glow every time I would watch him lose in the playoffs. Peyton was never meant to be a Bronco. He is a curse to the Broncos.

Hopefully this isn't true I doubt he has 5 years left in him especially if he takes a bad shot to the neck at some point.

This has gone on far enough. Elway's enough of a businessman to know when a deal is going south. Tell Peyton, sign or we're out.
Oh c'mon. It's always darkest before it goes pitch black.

This is like watching Peyton over center. How many times have I yelled at the TV, "Snap the ****ing ball, idiot!" It's like watching Jack Nicklaus putt.

Twitter has made FA unbearable. Too many people posting wild guesses as "rumors" or "truth"

One golden rule. It didn't happen until Schef tweets it.

I don't have any more lucky guesses up my sleeve! Full disclosure, I actually saw a comment about it somewhere and was surprised nobody was talking about it in this whole discussion.

Come on, Elway. Do the Hyman Roth:

"I'm going to go take a nap. When I wake up, if there's a suitcase sitting on this table with 2 million dollars in it, I'll know I have a partner. If not, I'll know I don't."

Fairly certain Condon is going to be filthy rich before it's all over.

Wow. So the question becomes why the hell isn't Smith signing his contract? And can he trust his own agent?!?

Well if the contract parameters out there are correct... and the 49ers are in fact serious about adding him (he went through a physical apparently), and Manning own words of money not being important but legacy... then he would be a fool not to sign with the 49ers. With him they are the best team in the NFC. No DOUBT!!!

Right now if we don't get him on the plane back... it's OVER!!! I hate how we got played if this is true... and what a FAIL from the FO. We didn't upgrade our team in the best quality FA ever... The only one out there that I could actually see a improving us is Bush. But by the way FA are flying off the shelves... I doubt it!!! **** you EFX!!! If you don't land Manning (which I don't agree with...) this offseason is a utter FAIL!!!

Well, a day or so ago, the niners were confident A. Smith would sign w/o much difficulty.

Frankly I don't care anymore. I don't think Den will win 6 with Tebow at qb, and frankly I'd be ok with that and get Tyler Wilson in the draft and let the teboners gtf out of Dodge.

It didn't work out well for Roth.

No clue. They had the contract on the table for a while. Smiths camp came out and said they were pleased with it. Then silence the entire week. I think the niners pulled the contract back.
