Yep. It's over.
It was Tuesday. The same day everyone thought the titans had him.

What a joke!! Manning is playing everyone and loving it. Next thing you know, the Texans will be flying in for a visit, then the Cowboys, then the Vikings, it won't end. As much cap room the Broncos have, we shouldv'e by now signed an impact free agent not named Manning. This is depressing. I can't believe we are being held hostage by this guy as is the Cardinals who must make a call on Kolb like right now.

Does not change the fact he has skill. And opinions change if you add Manning to that offense.

I really think he should have been informed of something similar to this when he visited. Some kind of timetable, or something, purely for damage control purposes.

This is how I felt watching the Drive. Do not count Elway out yet. In the meantime, I am leaving work on the east coast now. Finding a bar within crawling distance of my house and will enter a drunken hybernation until this whole thing is settled with Manning signed to take us to the promise land.

And what if next week, when Peyton is out in California, looking at the Niner's facilities, Paul Allen and Pete Carroll fly down there with bags of money?

This has gone on far enough. Elway's enough of a businessman to know when a deal is going south. Tell Peyton, sign or we're out.

Good point.

Also, what becomes of Alex Smith if Peyton signs there? Would he have to be a back up somewhere?

2:21 pm Chris Mortensen: Harbaugh and OC Greg Roman watched Manning throw at Duke on Tues night; impressive enough to send doctor next day to give physical exam. Despite speculation Broncos have GM Brian Xanders or "money people" present, no decision or signing will happen today w #Broncos. Contract parameters w these teams are basically in place; as we've previously reported, Manning offering all teams protection re: neck

Mort is represented by same huge agency as Manning (and Tebow for that matter).

This is a money game, and I believe that Manning wants to play for the Broncos, and his agents want to make sure he gets the best deal.

How better to get the best offer from the Broncos today than to leak that 1. The Titans will get a chance to work him out too and 2. The Niners have already tried him out.

There are people literally stalking Manning and no one knew the Niners were there? Come on...

(edit: spelling)

There's this drug used in South America, that removes people's ability to say no.

I forget what it's called.

But if we could have Manning in stock (not in stocks), then that would be pretty baller.

There has been too much violence, too much pain. None here are without sin. I am gravely disappointed. Again you have made me unleash my dogs of war.
Look at what remains of your gallant scouts. Why? Because you're selfish! You hoard your gasoline.

Now, my prisoners say you plan to take your gasoline out of the Wasteland. You sent them out this morning to find a vehicle. A rig big enough to haul that fat tank of gas. What a puny plan!

Look around you. This is the Valley of Death. See! Nothing can escape! The Humungus rules the Wasteland!

But I have an honorable compromise. Just walk away. Give me the pump ,the oil ,the gasoline ,and the whole compound, and I'll spare your lives.

Just walk away. I will give you safe passage in the Wasteland. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror.

I await your answer. You have one full day to decide.

What I don't get is if they were talking 15 or under per year, why are they holding off on defensive moves over this?

I thought maybe the cap hit was presumed to be so large they didn't dare make other moves (because they'd have to find some weapons for Peyton)

But with this, they could've done both with 50 million.
