Dumb. We need to sign some of these guys, especially McClain.

Absolutely. If we get Manning now my concern is that we lose sight and financial ability to really build the core of these things to move forward. If they get Manning they will need to significantly improve their draft success going forward because that truly is the best "value" pool to draw from.

Again, I think we have something very special in TT and he is a player worth investing in and worth putting chips on the table for. I think his physical abilities are rare for any position. Commitment, work ethic, leadership, all traits that can not be coached. Can't happen. The only problem he has is throwing the damn ball. BFD. As much as TT gets harped on for being in the NFL and not tossing an NFL ball I say we have NFL coaches. Damn them if they can't coach a guy like TT to throw a damn ball. Period. End of story. If they can't teach TT to throw a football then they have no business being a part of the game, at any level, whatsoever. Period. End of story. No questions, no doubts, no arguments.

Couple that with a significant portion of the Denver fanbase being pretty skeptical about this whole thing.

He can't lose in TN as far as legacy goes. He could be kind of a goat in Denver if things don't pan out.

All the guys coming in are defensive, so not crazy to think Del Rio will be in charge of today's recruiting.

Thats funny....because 3 days ago we heard the exact same kind of thing from our media. "its a done deal, meeting with titans out of courtesy"

I assume Peyton doesnt even know, SO NO ONE KNOWS

Clay Travis is the Mike Florio of Nashville. Started his own site and puts out info relevant to Tennessee sports.

I'm not skeptical about this at all. If his health checks out and he can throw, give him whatever he wants and make him a Bronco. Denver has the cap room, and Peyton should be able to attract us a few decent free agents that want to load up for a superbowl run.

Very much like Arizona did with Kurt Warner, but Peyton Manning is an upgrade over what Warner was, he's one of the greatest to ever play the game.

It wouldn't make sense to me if the Broncos are not really the first option and Manning is wasting their time flying there to watch him throw some footballs around if his mind was made up to sign with the Titans. The respectful thing to do, if he really respects Elway, is to tell him the truth in that case and to move on, not make a 2 hour flight for something that isn't going to happen. That is hardly respectful.

Only thing I'm sure about is this. The Titans may or may not be in the mix at this point. But Denver definitely is.

Yeah, because if Peyton's shown anything this last week, it's been how much he values other peoples' time.

Nope...late evening maybe...7-8 PM. Not before. At least 3 hours travel each way, 2+ hours in RDU minimum and they aint going for a min stay unless Manning ends it quickly by telling them to leave.

Either this is to sign the papers and make an announcement, or its a last chance to change his mind.

I assumed wed that Peyton was meeting Tennessee in NC when their plane headed that way. I had no idea they were going back to Tenn.

This could be the very same deal, and we're flying out to bring him home. The report that it's a workout came from where? I doubt Denver would tip their hand, and Peyton has said NOTHING.

Here's hoping this is just the final drive to bring him back and get his name on a contract.

That's what I'm thinking. That this deal is almost done. He's ours. Now just the final physical to be sure before he signs. If he passes the physical today.....he'll get on the plane with them for the trip home.

He could be joined by Mrs. Bowlen and the sales manager from one of John's dealerships too.
