Get to smash the Colts twice a year

My wife is from there
Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt
Really good pass-blocking OL
Not a "cold-weather" city (although Klis had facts that showed Denver wasn't one, but apparently that's one of his concerns about the Broncos)

Glad to see it's not just the fans!

According to that article, the numbers werent where they needed to be, which is why a team like the Titans got back into the picture.

Translated, this could have been a done deal but we low balled our offer.

Well not only that but as an organization you really need Manning to make a decision so you can move forward. For example, maybe the Broncos (hypothetically) get involved with Flynn if Manning falls through. Can't do that until you know. Your budget is definitely impacted, and not just at the QB position, by a guy who might go 4 yrs/$90+ million.

For Manning to still be mulling things over, it hardly speaks to what a great offer the Broncos gave him. It is almost like he is waiting, hoping, for some other team to offer anything close or better.

Or it could also mean talking ballpark numbers with Peyton, feeling like you have a good idea where things sit, and then having him shop it to other teams and driving up the price repeatedly.

Suddenly what sounded good at 15 mil a year doesn't sound so great at 25, but you've put your nuts in a vise even going down this road so you soldier on no matter what the cost.

Will they spend any of it though? Outside of PM, we have only brought in Merriweather (GAG) for a look. This is a team with holes, lots and lots of holes, and while strong teams keep getting better, we stand pat. Heck one of our own key FA's Bunkley, is in danger of walking.

Whether or not they sign Manning, this team needs more help than the draft can provide, and has no depth.
