In a stunning move Manning will run the option.

Apparently Fox liked what he saw out of Timmy lined up wide. And where else is he going to find a WR for 1.2 mil?

Frankly waiting for Manning is the dumbest thing Denver can do. The team has needs that are far more "OMFG that needs to be fixed" worthy than QB. So we watch Williams go to Buffalo for a visit, Tolbert and Hillis to KC for a visit, Nicks to TB for a visit, Eric Winston to Mia for a visit...and here we sit twiddling our thumbs apparently a single player away from a 3rd Lombardi.

The last two years was just an illusion, apparently.

A league source tells PFT that Wayne’s deal is worth $17.5 million over three years, with $7.5 million guaranteed.
That's pretty cheap for someone like Wayne.... Seriously we couldn't offer 6.5-7 mill per year Him signing with the Colts shows you what he thought about his chances in getting a better deal from another team.

It's a porn and our squad is playing the role of the chick who calls the cable guy. We all know how that ends.

Well, we don't know for sure that's why they're not more active today. But agree that's what it feels like.

You guys are so clueless. We aren't spending money because we are waiting on Manning. If he doesn't come it drastically changes how or if we even spend as much.

Elway's not going to break the bank to bring in people to help Tim because we will never be able to win a SB with him. Our D is much improved but with todays rules there aren't D's that can win SB's anymore.

I'm telling you right now. If Manning goes elsewhere Elway will make a bunch of under the radar signings and we will have lots of cap space and flexibility left for the future to pair with Wilson/Barkley/Jones as our number 1 pick next year.

Well Mr. Bowlen sounds desperate for a last hurrah, so I think he will be willing to match or even improve that offer. Hope not...but when people go senile....well... that's a tough crowd to talk logic into.

With Wayne off the market and no WR depth, I wonder if we bite on the first for Mike Wallace if Manning signs?

Stop that. Tell me that after I see the Giants hold another top offense to 17 points. Just because we give up 40 every time we play a good o doesn't make it impossible.

love how you know Elways thoughts... So you are telling me that if we don't pick Manning we are going to plan and be ok with tanking the season so we can pick Wilson/Barkley/Jones? Please....

I believe I said this earlier and was called clueless.

If Manning doesn't sign, it's hard to see how we'll come anywhere near the cap. We'll just stand pat with our gaping holes on both sides of the ball.

It won't matter if John signs Nicks at Guard, the best DB left on the market, and gets Mike Wallace for our first.

As I have stated I believe Tim Tebow quarterbacking this team with this year's schedule will get us 4 or 5 wins.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we sigh Hasselbeck and he beats Tebow out if Tenn gets Manning.

Finally we agree. I just don't see John loading this team up via free agents when he doesn't know what he has with Tebow.

10:27 PM Brandon Krysztal: Piggybacking of @MikeKlis yesterday, that #Broncos working on Manning contract, if it comes to pass could be like 4yrs $90mil

10:20 PM Peyton Manning is scheduled to meet with Titans coach Mike Munchak tomorrow; Bill Polian says the race is a "dead heat" between Tennessee and Denver. Word is the Titans would trade or cut Matt Hasselbeck should they land Manning. Here's the full quote from Polian:

Well, I see it as a dead heat at this point . The Titans do have the home-field advantage as both he and his wife have a great affection for the state of Tennessee, they have a home in Chattanooga, so it's possible that that could be the deciding factor. But I think for sure (he'll join an) AFC (team) and (it's) very definitely a tough decision for him.
