Yeah, any objective observer would look at a game like that and conclude the O-Line is stellar. Of course, once teams figured out KO was leading the league in INTs, they probably figured sacking him did more harm than good.

Anyway, if you look at common games (usually divisional) between 2010 Orton and 2011 Tebow, you'll see Tebow had fewer sacks. Although fewer attempts as well.

Mostly though you just need to watch the games to gauge the quality of our O-Line's pass protection. It is god awful.

yeah,holding onto the ball for 5 minutes can make an oline look bad.

I don't see anything wrong with Kuper. Clady still performs at a high level. Franklin is learning. The other 2? Those are McDamits henchmen. We could do without.

It does show how quickly things can change since just last season, most felt the Broncos would win only 5-6 games and they started 1-4 and changed QB's, still most did not see an 8 win team, much less making the playoffs and winning a playoff game. Now we get the Broncos want to sign Manning since they feel, as do some fans apparently, this team is not just a repeat playoff type of team, but a Super Bowl team all of a sudden. Even with a healthy 36 year old QB no matter how good, one has to wonder about that one. This roster is as good as the roster Elway had when he was 36? But wasn't long ago people were set on the Broncos drafting Luck and now, we have close to a Super Bowl roster. A team that was average at best, and horrible in others, in stats on offense and on defense except for running the ball, which would have to happen again in a new offense and different QB if Manning signs and likely less running plays to boot.

Ironic as hell, while everybody was clamoring for "Suck for Luck", and Tebow plays us right out of that, only to find out Manning taking the helm in 2012.

Not only did Tebow not beat a team with a winning record, he performed poorly in most of the games he played in. Thankfully the teams Denver played against had terrible offenses that allowed Denver's defense to keep things close.

Shouldn't an NFL quarterback be able to complete 50% of his passes?

You don't sign Peyton Manning at this stage of his career to simply "give yourself a fighting chance" against the great teams. Hopefully the Broncos did not present that kind of argument to Manning when he visited.

With Tebow (who is a project and a half) Denver is very average. With Manning and the players that would come to Denver because Manning is here, Denver becomes an instant legit contender.

Denver in those first 5 games played 3 teams with winning records, 2 of which were playoff teams.

I'm guessing if Manning would have played instead of Orton, Denver would have won some of those games....maybe all of them except GB.

No, you don't. You tell him we can build a serious contender with our cap room with some of the players from the Colts, assuming they are healthy of course. A fighting chance is what a team like the Chiefs would say.
