I tend to erase Bronco-Colts games from my memory. I am aware of them, but it maintains a dreamlike contact high quality then a hardcore memory. I can tell you Denver's starting lineup from SB32. I cannot tell you the same from 2003 or 2004 WC games. ![]() |

its the NFL. Most teams go from good to bad within a couple years, and vice versa. Some teams can build dynasties, but its rare. Im sure Minn does not regret getting Favre. At all. its a terrible example. Also, its not like we know Tebow will be great. Its very debatable. I like him, but he has to vastly improve.

Its not like our sb winning was loaded with home grown talent. It was a good mix.

Why? The Colts success this season proved that Manning doesn't need a high-power offense to tear **** up. All he needs is a mediocre blocking back who can catch a check down a declining pro-bowl receiver and a few "me's" in the slot.

And if you think, with the way they played last season, that Manning would have made them a viable team, you are hopelessly delusional. They would have been lucky to go 8-8 with him. Very lucky. |

Call me hopelessly delusional then. Manning would have had them at 8-8 at the very least. Practically the same roster, and yet a decline all across the board on offense. Same bottom ranked defense Peyton is used to carrying. Yet somehow, over the course of 13 years, he ALWAYS steered these guys to the playoffs. Since '98, just 1 season under 10 wins. Somehow, this team went from 12 of 13 straight 10 win seasons and practically a unanimous pre-season prediction of a 10-6 season from experts to the worst team in the league. That's not delisional, that's just the power of Peyton. He's made so many mediocre players look plausible it's not even funny.

Sanchez has had three solid years of starting, get all the practice reps, all the training camp reps, and his OC is gone now. One tends to think at some point it's over. Feels a little more like "it's time."
