Because he was inexperienced. Might want to write that down.
No one that watched that year thought he was a bad QB lol. He had some bad luck nothing more. Still his inexperience as a starting QB in the NFL did NOT make him a rookie. Might want to write that down. Same goes for Tebow, no matter how many at bats it takes you to not be a rookie in MLB.

I'm not down with forking over $20 million, killing off most of our FA options and building around an offense that we'd have to abandon in 2 years just for a spot in the playoffs. We already had that.

And I don't see Manning being the answer to overcoming the Patriots, at least not for the Broncos, so I don't like our chances of taking it any further.

You don't want Denver to be a LOCK to make the playoffs cause it might cost our owner money? Tebow fans suck.

Peyton was the $20 million QB of the Colts this year. How did that LOCK work out?

if the Colts had the 2nd pick or lower in the draft, no doubt in my mind Peyton would be the starter for the Colts 2012 season..

How many games did Manning play?

Honestly I don't understand why this has to have anything to do with Tebow. I would have serious reservations about signing Manning to a big contract at this point regardless of who our QB was.

Manning is the only available QB who could legitimately put Tebow on the bench. I would support a Manning signing not because I'm anti-Tebow, but to give Tebow time to develop. I would not support trading Tebow.

Most teams do, unless your team is run by idiots like Ross and Ireland...whats interesting to see will be if Manning would take less money or incentive style contract to play for a team that has a chance to win, or try and get the most money out there from a team that is a disaster and has no shot of winning a SB...

Maybe, maybe not. My contention is that the Broncos have too many holes to fill to put the kind of resources into Manning that he would require. Also, in the "want to win the SB" argument, does Manning think the Broncos are just a QB away from a SB? Hard for me to believe.

if he was serious about just winning and didnt worry about money, he would ask to sign with the Texans on a minimum contract...

You don't think signning Manning has an impact in what happens with Tebow?

i think Seattle could be...they have brought in alot of talent and pretty much only suck at the QB position...but i dont think Manning likes Rain or Fog..

Manning (healthy) himself is a lock for 10 wins! I think our O and D is both better than Indy's...i think we're a 11/12 win team with Manning. Once you make it to the playoffs, anything is possible. Look at the Giants. Depending on how much he wants to be paid and what kind of contract we give him..i'm down to sign him. Obviously there are serious health issues and one hit and his career could be over..gotta protect ourselves if we offer him anything. It would be a big benefit for Tim to sit behind a HoF QB.

We were an 8 win team with Tebow not starting 5 games last year. So you figure out what could be screwed up with your post.

Getting Manning doesn't make us any closer to the SB than not having him.

So your saying we have just as good of a chance at winning a SB with Tebow as we would with a healthy Peyton Manning??

Considering Manning's previous playoff performances I don't consider that such an absurd argument.
