Think about it..... we had Kyle freaking Orton has a starter through camp and for the first 5 games last year....

And we finally make the switch to Tebow, the Broncos need play it smooth just in case they don't get Manning.

I would feel cheated as a fan if we didn't at least explore the idea of bringing him in and I am happy to hear that is whats going on. Plenty of unknowns as of now but you will see more will come out in the week.

What you actually heard was " Klis thinks the broncos will do their due diligence, and that he (klis)feels they could be the best fit for Manning".

The Broncos brass are not involved at all.

BTW - Manning is not a good mentor and would not be one to Tebow. He didn't do it in Indy. He insisted on taking every snap in practice. And nobody refers to Painter or Sorgi as Peyton's proteges because he never really cared about teaching them anything.

There is no way that Manning is going to be signed to a reasonable contract conductive with the enormous risk connected to his neck injury and his age. There is going to be some desperate team that loses out on the RGIII sweepstakes and throws a ton of money at him. Denver's not going to be that team. Bring in an inexpensive veteran QB or two and maybe draft a late round project. Let Tebow go into camp and start in 2012. If he sucks, you draft his replacement in 2013.

what makes you think Manning/Teams will wait until after the Draft (last week in April)?
