We always knew that if he got a chance, it would be a tough road to hold down a job in the NFL. Ask Griese. Ask Leinart. As David Carr. Ask Joey Harrington. We've lived with plenty of defeat with Tim Tebow. We're quite aware he doesn't always win, and doesn't always play like the best player. You should ask yourself, what is it about the guy that inspires people? That makes them feel loyal, and connected. Look for the best in people. Don't assume its a bunch of snake-handlers that like his Christianity. Please. There have been hundreds before him like that. I submit to you that everything about rooting for Tim Tebow is good. And despite what you think, people above the age of 12 know this sport ends with a lot of disappointment. That's the human spirit -- it roots on when there's something to go on, knowing it might not work out. But you fight the fight anyway. And it's been fun already. |

It isn't like one side is being just being really optimistic and rah rah Broncos while the other is being irrationally hateful. There's a lot of angry, hateful stuff coming from the die-hard Tebow camp - it's just aimed at the coaches and, you know, some other dude who was the best thing to happen to this franchise? Not criticism, but "fire these people", "these people are conspiring to make the team lose" anger.
Not sure how that makes them "better" fans than people who say our QB isn't starter worthy. Obviously some hyperbolic threads from both sides over the course of this season, but you have to be irrationally invested in one camp to think "frustration with QB" = bad fan, while "frustration with coaches/FO" = good fan. Or vice versa. |

Not to mention that the simple fact that they made this game makes it a little more likely that the BBT spends Bowlen's money on free agents this year. |

Do people even realize that the Packers ONE loss this season was to the Chief's defense
![]() And Tebow is getting trashed for getting shutdown by them with virtually no help..? |

If someone can't enjoy this, then their desire to see Tebow crater has outgrown their love of the game. Tebow's not going to get a free ride. You can't hide in this league. He may not get to keep the gig. But you gotta dance with the one that brung ya, and there's a playoff game this weekend with a fairly low-scoring team, with a hurt quarterback, a running back out, and some guy who's head will explode if he gets to altitude. It's the timing of it that makes it seem really toxic. Finish out. Don't be afraid of Tebow winning -- he's not going to get to start for 10 years just from one season. He'll have to do something next year no matter what. |

Thanks Turd, totally missed your post about the Tebow Sucks thread. I was watching that fight brew and got sidetracked. Forgot to check back in. |

What a nice, unifying thread. If this one doesn't make everyone feel like sitting around a warm fire with an acoustic guitar singing "Kumbaya", nothing will.

I no longer care if someone likes/hates Tebow. We are in the playoffs for the love of God. If either of the last two starters were able to accomplish that, this argument would not be happening. At this moment, Tebow is our starter. It appears he will be the guy for 2012. Enjoy the moment and worry about everything else when/if it happens.

The KC D gave up 41 to buffalo, 48 to detroit, 28 to the COLTS, 28 to Oakland, 31 to Miami, 34 to the Pats, and 37 to the Jets... Every single team they played put up more points than the Broncos and Tebow did on Sunday. As you can see Mark Sanchez, Curtis Painter, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and whoever Miami's crap QB was against them, put up more points than Tebow did. Nice Point though on the whole Packers fluke game.

I am glad we made the play offs, I am. However I will go on record now that having gone back and watched the last 3 games over that the NFL has caught up to Tebow as well as the defensive scheme we were runnig. Do I believe Tebow will develope into an NFL style QB ? No. I hope I am wrong, but I believe he should be further along than he is right now and am becoming frustrated with the length of time he holds the ball before deciding to throw. If the defense has it covered run. Looking at replays however it appears he is just afraid to pull the trigger and is not capable of reading defenses, and too many times is staring down his primary reciever. I am not sure he is the QB of the future. We will see.

Anybody who roots for a Bronco player to be injured is no Bronco fan in my book.

I think he reads them just fine. I think his issue is constantly being told to not throw interceptions. Overthinking = hesitation. Young players do this. Its part of the curve. And I state this because there are games (Minnesota, Chicago) where his reading of the defense was not an issue. He made the right reads and hit the throw. Anyone who blatantly says he "can't" read defenses and never will are talking out of their ass. He has done it. The issue of late is he is thinking too much about where to put the ball. An offseason working with the coaches, Elway and his offense should fix that. If it doesnt, then we know it and we can go in a different direction in 2013. ![]() |
