Great points on how Beadles affects the other two players, Clady and Walton, Rev.
Also SoCal should have an entire hour show just on the draft. That was really awesome. I look forward to these during the offseason when we can discuss prospects coming in. |

Ending is hilarious, but I certainly did NOT pick against Denver. No where in that clip do I say we'll lose or anything remotely close to that lol

Nope, I was wrong... You didn't really make a pick, but the tone of your statement makes me believe you would have picked the Broncos. For whatever reason, I got it wrong... dammit... lol

Good show gentleman. Loving it.
Something however did strike a nerve. Hearing Tebow less refined is just a hard pill to swallow. But what he lacks in prototypical refinement he more than compensates for with his unrefined unorthodox manner. This guy has had one of the longest most horendous windups in the history of the game... ![]() ![]() Prototypical refinement has clearly proven not to be the be all end all when it comes to success in the NFL. Tebow is refined when it comes to not throwing INT's, refined when it comes to his ability to remain composed and buying time rather than being a "scrambler" Type QB. Didn't like hearing how the coaches would argue they're protecting Tebow. Not saying do would not attempt that argument, but when you have a guy throw it on 3rd and long in the first half like they have been instead of giving him unpredictable pass plays outside of nickle and dime packages, then this turns out to be the antithesis of protection when it comes to taking credit for Tebows refined ability to protect the ball. This is what earned him the NCAA Dividsion 1A 4-year passer rating record. I think Luck might be jacking that record this season however, nothing like playing in the lame Pac 10-12. Bears defense will create a challenge to the Broncos running up the score...
They will be ready... what has me nervous is how hard Fox will slam the breaks on Tebow given the Bears defensive woes. If we lost Sunday, it would not have to be because the best team won, but because the brakes where slammed on Tebow too hard namely in the first half and when we were not too far behind. Game ball DT's break out game, hot seat John FOX for the play-calling that almost cost us the game thanks to the breaks put on Tebows game when we are behind. I really enjoyed the cast. BTW Broncbow is a he. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/footb...ts-sights.html Bears’ defense has Tim Tebow in its sights Injuries to Jay Cutler and Matt Forte haven’t altered the dynamic of an intriguing showdown Sunday — Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Julius Peppers and the Bears defense vs. Tim Tebow. The Bears are ranked 20th in total defense in the NFL. But with speed and solid tacklers, they are built as well as any to stop the run-oriented Tebow offense. By rushing 34 times and rarely throwing against the Jets, Tebow turned Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis into a liability in the fourth quarter. But the Bears have tacklers all over the field. ‘‘This is option football,’’ Bears coach Lovie Smith said. ‘‘Our defense is based on sound, option principles. But we don’t have a lot of our option responsibilities ironed out each week. So this is forcing a lot of teams in the league to be sound in all of those things. ‘‘But our defense is set up to play this type of offense. They have a unique athlete at quarterback, who can really run over you and throw the ball. He poses a lot of different problems. There will be some challenges with this offense.’’ |

Thanks guys. Really enjoying this. Thought I'd post some videos of the versatile Joe Adams. All time leading receiver at Arkansas and all-purpose offensive and special teams weapon.

One reason I think they don't run a lot of short slants and ins and stick routes is that most teams tend to line up with a lot of people close to the line of scrimmage which increases the risk of a LB dropping out of a blitz into a zone and picking off the pass and taking it the other way much like Haggan did. The way the offense runs right now puts a lot of pressure on the middle of the defense and as a result there are a lot of players there, the safe passes will be short outs, smokes, flares, getting the ball away from the middle.
For gimmick players, a guy like Russell Wilson might be an option, he is a QB at Wisconsin who is less than 6'0 so he won't be a QB in the NFL, but he can run and pass and shows decent speed. It was Fells who gave up the safety to Allen, he got blown 3 yards back into the end zone on the initial contact. Go back to 2005, we were in the AFC championship game (our last playoff game), we were winning but not pretty and in the draft we went all out to get a 1st round QB. Of course we are not going to go 13-3 this year and we may not go to the AFC Championship game, but we are winning right now which is something we haven't done consistently since 2005. I just don't think we are going to make the same mistake as last time, we had a decent team and instead of getting a player that could improve a position of weakness (Broderick Bunkley), we retooled the offense. In the 2012 draft we have to improve the team, we have to address a position that right now is weak, and the positions right now that could be improved a lot are CB, OG and MLB, with DT as an outsider. We can improve the defense or offensive line this year and wait to see if Tebow keeps working or needs to replaced and replace him if we have to without losing anything. The biggest mistake right now is to break what is working and avoid addressing what is broken - Mcdaniels made that mistake, Shanahan made that mistake, for the love of all that is chocolate lets not make that mistake for a third time. One point on Von, guess who had the huge fumble recovery on the Ponder fumble? Hunter and who did he play for on that play? That is right Von Miller. I am not dogging on Miller because he could just as easily have made those plays, but the replacements for Miller stepped up hugely and that really reflects very strongly on the coaching staff. Tebow will almost certainly go to Hawaii, right now Brady, Roethlisberger and either Flacco, Rivers or Fitzpatrick will be voted in. Rivers has a million INTs and plays for a bad team so that will count against him, Fitzpatrick has fallen off the bottom of the charts and I don't think Flacco is that popular among non Baltimore fans. Tom Brady will almost certainly find a way to not go, so the first alternate should get an invite even if Roethlisberger finds a way to avoid raping the wind screen of a toyota with his head. |

As much as I would love to sit and listen to you guys talk about football for almost two hours, I honestly don't have the time.
Would it be possible to put together a short list of the main topics, highlights, the place where they occur so people can jump ahead to topics of interest? (I like what Steve Weintraub does on the Collider site, for example: http://collider.com/david-hoberman-t...2/#more-126972) |
