Default Lets face it.

Our once proud franchise has become a joke and laughing stock of the league. Wr are on the levels of the Bengals, browns, bills, KC: and previous Oakland raiders. Until we get a competent owner and management this ship won't get fixed.

Mr. Elway is going to right this ship, know that. Its just hard losing at home to Oakland again, but when the dust settles, reality is that we are just getting up from hurricane McDummy and the road to recovery is a long hard one.I was sucked into the optimisim too, but was quickly biatchslapped to reality by the second quarter of week 1. I had already masterbated to internet porn and was in bed asleep by the start of of the second half. Signs of a bad football team were evident early and being on the east coast, staying up to watch that garbage simply wasn't worth it.

Bright side is, next year's draft is chalk fulll of pretty good QB's. We may not get Luck but we should get pretty good QB near the top of the draft. Just hope that KC does not get Luck. That would suck facing him twice a year for the next 15 years. In the mean time, looking around the league, there are some pretty interesting storys in the NFL to watch. NE, GB, will the Steelers recover. How about the Ravens, are they really that good? Eagles soap opera will be fun, and watching Shanny go through another Brian Griese ordeal in Wasington will be fun too. Losing again to the Raiders have left me wanting to leave the Broncos on the road side for a while. They may be a bad team, but so is Oakland. At least thier players could muster up some effort, Broncos just don't get it. You can suck, but just don't embarass the city by being own by the Raiders at home year in and year out. I'm disappointed in that part. I expected Elway to at least instill that by now.

Beats another Tebow thread.

One good thing is that the balance of power has definitely shifted to the NFC. Rodgers, Freeman, Lambchop, Cam, the guy in Atl, Stafford if he can stay healthy are all young. Brees is getting up there, and so's the dog killer. Eli's a vet, but he's the same age as rivers. Over in the AFC, there's Sanchez and the guy in Balt, but color me unsold. Payaton may be done, and Brady is dinosaurish, and Big Rape is getting up there as well.

Car has to get a lot better than Den has to get better to win a division.

It's always hard and sad to get rid of an old wife, but hey .... there's always a newer, younger one out there somewhere.

The donks have been a joke since Elway & TD left the franchise. The fans and the owner hung their hat on a Ratfaced coach who was and has been nothing but mediocre .500 since. He was a ****ty drafter, He scapegoated Defensive Coordinators and he actually, started to believe the the mastermind hype. Recognizing that the team is a joke is years late.

Well it's a good thing we fired him and turned around and hired a young hotshot coach to replace him right?

It is always darkest before the dawn. Patience and faith (although that is understandably hard with some decisions as of late)

You do realize that part of the shift in power you cite is Cam Newton, a guy who couldn't hang on at Florida as Tebow's backup, who has the same skill set as Tebow, and yet has accomplished only about 1/4th of what Tebow has done with it, right?

You cry about all the Tebow threads yet admit that a guy like Cam Newton has tons of potential. That is completely irrational.

It truly boggles my mind that people can see Cam light it up in a shotgun offense tailored to his skill set (a skill set that is nearly identical to Tebow's), and somehow not realize that Tebow could do the same thing if he was playing for an organization that had a clue. Cam Newton's first game only makes the Broncos look even more clueless than they did before.

Nope. Not going to face this "fact." The Denver Broncos are a special franchise. We're going through a rough patch for sure, but we've got God's own gift to football running our franchise right now. God loves Broncos fans so much that he gave us Elway not only once, but TWICE in a lifetime. Doubters take heart! We will all get to celebrate together and watch Elway hoist a trophy again... together.

And you seem to have no concept of time.....

"Right now"

If not getting all riled up over a 3 point loss where the other teams starting RB got almost 7 YPC makes me delusional, so be it.

It really amazes me how so many Broncos fans can't separate their love for Elway the player from Elway the football exec. Just because he was a great player does not mean he has any business running an NFL team. Period.
