Here we go again Quotes

"The Rev. Grant Storms, the Christian fundamentalist known for his bullhorn protests of the Southern Decadence festival in the French Quarter, was arrested on a charge of masturbating at a Metairie park Friday afternoon. Storms, 53...was taken into custody at Lafreniere Park after two women reported seeing him masturbating in the driver's seat of his van, which was parked near the carousel and playground...The first woman told deputies as she was walking around her own vehicle, she noticed the van windows were down and the occupant was "looking at the playground area that contained children playing, with his zipper down...," the report said.”

Wouldn't it be easier to list the religio-frauds who have NOT been caught in sex crimes?

This Week in Holy Crimes
These 'men of God' are here to molest and steal

Over the last seven days...

Alabama: Pastor Barry Albert Cook charged with sexual abuse and torture of a child.

South Carolina: Pastor Jonathan Roberts charged with felonious theft of church money.

New York: Father Thomas Kreiser charged with using $25K in church donations for online gambling.

Wisconsin: Pastor Philip Caminiti charged with eight felony counts of child abuse for beating children.

Oklahoma: Pastor Vincent Brookfield charged with seven felony counts of molesting a seven year-old girl.

North Carolina: Pastor Paul Burke Johnson charged with sexual battery on a mentally impaired woman.

Iowa: Pastor Patrick Edouard charged with raping three women in his congregation.

Utah: Pastor Aaron Witcher sentenced to five years to life on two counts of rape of a minor.

Pennsylvania: Father Ralph Johnson sentenced to four years in prison for child molestation.

New York: Rabbi Saul Kassin confesses to scheme involving sales of human organs and counterfeit handbags.

Florida: Teacher at private Christian school charged with beating a 12 year-old boy unconscious

Wisconsin: Father Joseph Gibbs charged with fondling a teenage girl.

Illinois: Imprisoned child molester Father Donald McGuire reveals his parish knew of his crimes and did nothing.

And think of the thousands of kids who were raped last week and didn't tell...

After all, this is God's representative and he said it was OK.

Good gravy ... I guess this thread can't be funny all the time.

It seems fairly simple why Republicans and Fundamentalists so often cross paths in these kinds of behaviors. Both philosophies are principally about control, having it and submitting to it. When control fails for somebody who's life is based upon it, behaviors can snap off the charts pretty quickly.

any "ism" can be dogmatic.

You're right actually ... they're not necessarily linked, are they.

My point is any "ism" has dogma and fundamentalists. It doesn't matter what "ism"/"philosophy"/"religion it is.

Remember folks these righties are the ones that oppose gay marriage in order to protect the sanctity of marriage

Sen. Ensign says he will resign on May 3

Washington (CNN) -- Republican Sen. John Ensign of Nevada, who is under an ethics investigation by the Senate, announced Thursday that he will resign his seat on May 3.
Ensign had previously said he would not run for re-election in 2012 following revelations that he had an affair with a female aide who was the wife of another top aide, and that his parents subsequently gave money to the aides' family.
"While I stand behind my firm belief that I have not violated any law, rule, or standard of conduct of the Senate, and I have fought to prove this publicly, I will not continue to subject my family, my constituents, or the Senate to any further rounds of investigation, depositions, drawn out proceedings, or especially public hearings," Ensign said in the statement. "For my family and me, this continued personal cost is simply too great."

Ensign has admitted to having an affair with Cindy Hampton, a campaign aide and the wife of Ensign's former chief of staff, Doug Hampton. Investigators are looking into efforts by Ensign to assist the Hampton family by providing a nearly $100,000 payment to them, arranging lobbying work for Doug Hampton, and possibly meeting with Doug Hampton on a lobbying matter in violation of Senate rules.

Bad analogy - due to your use of "any."

We're not talking about "any" republi-con here - we're citing a LONG list of specific right-wing individuals in positions of power.

Coincidence?

Whatever gets you through the night.

What would what politicians do in there twisted sex lives have anything to do with how you or I sleep at night? I'm in California. What Republicans that our state has sent to DC are you talking about? Otherwise I'm failing to see how I support them? I'm not near as politically sided as you think I am. I'm just a hawk when it comes to USA flexing it's muscle.

I totally agree with any politician paid to be doing the job having to resign if they have a sex scandal with questionable facts about how they cover it up etc. Also I think it is weird how many priests have molested kids. Obviously they way they set that up is attracting some strange men.

I actually sleep really good. Like 7 hours a night. Thanks for worrying about me though LABF that is very kind of you.

Besides didn't edwards like cheat on his wife while she was dying? Not like that character move has anything to do with right or left. Or anything repubs do. Those are just the flaws of men that IMO there is no proof of one side being worst then the other.

Whatever though i sort of wish it was like when Kennedy was President and they could just **** whoever they wanted and we never found out about it. Not to mention what Clinton did. Do anyone to sit around and point fingers at one party is a joke. Men are perverts and we do some sick **** to women sometimes. Often even when we are in a committed relationship. Hell at least this Sen Ensign did it with a chick. For the Repubs lately that is a step in the right direction.

Family values alert...

Serial Rapist Caught...and he's a Fundie Pastor!

LADSON, S.C. – Dale Richardson was saved at a tent revival 32 years ago, was called to preach the Lord's word in 2006 and, for the past year, had served as pastor at Freedom Free Will Baptist Church, a modest red brick structure on a South Carolina side road running along a railroad track.

Now he's in jail, charged with kidnapping and raping three women at gunpoint -- two of them in a trailer behind the church -- and kidnapping a fourth who was not sexually assaulted.

According to an incident report, about noon on a Saturday last month, Richardson picked up a woman and gave her a ride. When the 20-year-old tried to get out of the car, Richardson allegedly pulled a gun, bound her hands, covered her head and took her to the gray-blue trailer home behind the church.

The report said he later dropped the woman in a wooded area, threatening to shoot her if she turned around. Police said the woman was able to identify Richardson from his picture on the church website, which also displays a short biography detailing how he became a Christian and then a pastor.

Richardson has since been charged with two other similar sexual assaults, both of which occurred last year. He is accused of bringing one of those women to the church trailer. The third woman claims she was raped in a wooded area outside nearby Summerville, a bedroom community about 20 miles northwest of Charleston. He is also charged with kidnapping a fourth woman.

Chicago DHS pays sex offenders paid to baby-sit

Cornelius Osborne may not seem like baby-sitting material.

He was convicted of raping two women. A succession of felonies, from robbery to failing to register as a sex offender, repeatedly sent him to prison, state records show.

But over more than two years, the state paid Osborne nearly $5,000 to baby-sit two children, before his latest conviction — for dealing drugs — put him back behind bars.

Osborne, of Chicago, wasn't the only sex offender paid by taxpayers to baby-sit, according to a Tribune investigation that found cases of convicted rapists, molesters and other violent felons given access to children over the past decade. The money comes from a $750 million-a-year program that subsidizes child care for more than 150,000 impoverished Illinois families.

Didn't find the part where it said this guy was a prominent Democrat and/or liberal leader in his community.

Cain: 'No idea’ who fed harassment story to press

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, responding to a recent Politico story that included anonymous charges of sexual harassment while he was chairman of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, said he has "no idea" who fed the press the story.

Also just read stories about guys like Mel Renolds if you want some democratic freakiness. Oh yeah and Clinton commuted his sentence even after it was proven he was screwing a 16 yr old.
