Pat Williams, defensive tackle: One-half of the Williams Wall is one of the most surprising guys still available.

I thought it was because he mentioned he might be retiring? Teams don't like signing players they feel may have already packed it in but looking for one more payday. Who knows though I am just guessing.

My boy Antonio Brown (WR Steelers) looks great.

2 long TDs tonight....I had him scouted out when he was at Central Michigan.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears have told Chester Taylor that the running back is no longer in their plans, ESPNChicago.com has confirmed through an NFL source.

The team also Monday announced it has released Vernon Gholston.

The Bengals have improved their shaky cornerback depth by acquiring cornerback Kelly Jennings from the Seahawks.

Defensive tackle Clinton McDonald was sent to the Seahawks in exchange for Jennings, the Bengals announced. McDonald has played in eight career games.

Vernon Gholston. I remember I was so scared the Patriots were going to draft this guy and use him to wreak havoc all over the field. Now I wish they did. What a fool I was. He is completely worthless. Prototypical gym rat that looks like tarzan and plays like stupid Jane.

Man, I thought you guys were BS'ing about Whisenhunt being hard on rookies, but:

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/card...n-respect.html

For now, the Cardinals rookie cornerback has to share a locker with veteran defensive back Michael Adams.

Adams has a nameplate. Peterson? His name and number are scribbled on a piece of masking tape.

"I know, I know," Peterson said, shaking his head. "It's all good, though. I'll have respect sooner or later."

"Yeah, I'm going to remember that, trust me," Peterson said. "But like I said, it's all good. I've got to earn my respect."

They didn't even give PP his own locker, a shared locker with a piece of masking tape with his name and number on it. Hell, that's a brand new billion dollar stadium, right? Sounds like they're going out of their way to humiliate PP.

Shoot, I was so dumb about Gholston I was worried the Raiders would draft him at 4th overall.

Looks like Jim Tressel took a gig with the Colts.

If Terrelle Pryor was suspended for the first 5 games, the same should hold true of Jim Tressel.

I don't think the NFL should have suspended Pryor in the first place, but you have to keep things equal.

If anything a coach should be treated more harshly...

The other game I am interested in the outcome is the Atlanta vs Eagles game. The only reason though is I am hoping for the Falcons sake they kick the crap out of the Eagles for the obvious reason that Vick is at the helm. I think it would be really tough for them if their former QB comes in and kicks them around their own field.

But I found some reference on NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/videos/auto/09000...-MJ-of-Atlanta)
comparing Michael Vick to Michael Jordan in terms of popularity in Atlanta. It's a pretty bad comparison in my opinion, even if you leave out the dog killing thing, MJ has won championships while Vicky has not. Additionally, MJ's popularity crosses so many more lines than does Vicky's does. So I think it's one of the poorest comparisons Irvin could postulate. I know he was trying to say how popular Vick was in Atlanta, but I don't believe there is anyway he is or was as popular as Jordan.

Anyway, Go Falcons.
