Such a headcase...would maybe consider it if Washington took on a ton of the money.

No. I wouldn't want Haynesworth on this team. I'd rather trade for a player that isn't a total headcase and cancer, or just trade for 2012 draft picks

Hanesworth would play nice in a 4-3 with coaches like Fox and Allen .. particularly after his last stop.
For sure he would put out his best effort to rehab his image too. Immediate solution to the 'DT' issue. Bring back Bannen and maybe Jamal and Thomas and along with Vickerson then suddenly the DLs a strenght of the team! |

Who knows. He may want to play for Denver, and therefore be a happier person...
Heck, just getting rid of Orton is a plus... |

Considering they couldn't even get a pick in the first 3 rounds for Hayneworth and I believe the Broncos could have gotten at least a 3rd & 4th for Orton we would have to a pick or two in return as well. It would be a risk but I would do it, the upside would be worth it. I really don't see Shanahan liking Kyle Orton however

I'd rather keep Orton and make him a DT than take Haynesworth. Haynesworth is poison riddled cancer with Super AIDS. I hate Haynesworth.

nevertheless we could probably swing a cash deal for Mebane and still keep Kyle for a later trade.

Adam Schefter was going to say John Beck is going to start next year for the Redskins.

I was thinking about this earlier and there is no way in hell Mike Shanahan would want Kyle Orton to be his starting QB.

We could be padners." ![]() Um, no. Orton is almost the exact opposite of what Shanny looks for in a QB and no chance Bowlen/Elway shell out that much for Haynesworth or Fox lets a headache like him into the locker room. |

Doubt it would happen for many reasons, but a talent like Haynesworth would be pretty damn awesome for our defense. Imagine Doom, Miller, Haynesworth and Ayers crashing down Rivers' front door on 3rd downs. That would bring many laughs and cheers on Sundays.

Weeeeeeeel, I don't want a headcase on my team.... but add a Haynesworth on this team and we're suddenly in playoff contention.

If the trade goes through, wouldn't Washington have to eat that ginormous signing bonus?

The Redskins aren't going to want Orton, and we aren't going to want to pay Haynesworth's salary. Silly rumor is silly...

Except Haynesworth doesn't play. He really is more awful than you can imagine. Sincerely, I will take any of our current DL roster over Haynesworth. He sucks up cash, ruins a locker room, doesn't play, doesn't show up, cries like a b****, thinks he's entitled to anything in the club. I would rather stick my dick in a weed whacker than have that suckwad on our club.

If more 'maners are optimistic about this I guess I could be swayed but as of right now I like the idea posed earlier about converting Orton to DT over taking Haynesworth.
I could be prodded into kinda liking the idea. I guess. |

Mebane hasn't got the 6 years for UFA status as things stand. Unless a CBA is agreed with those regulations Mebane will be going nowhere this offseason, same for Coefield, Branch or anyone else who doesn't have the 6 years. Cullen Jenkins would be about it.
