Nope. The corporatists are the wolves. The politicians are shepards who've been bought off by the wolves (to continue the analogy).

Who owns the corporatists?

Military Industrial Complex has pulled off a coup of sorts.

Political assassination is so 1960's. Why kill a person when you can destroy them publicly, politically, and using corporate owned media?

The illusion of freedom is a powerful dream.

I went to one of the first Tea Party rallies here in my area, and it was one of the most scripted events I've ever been too.

It was a "Clear Channel" event. It was organized by a clear channel radio station using local politicians and people associated with the programming of the same demographic, and different media. (The TV station is also clear channel owned that was there covering the event, as well as the news radio team that was there.)

The rally was advertised as a way to take back our government. Then, it was all about how much the democrat party is all about spending and how we need to support conservatism.

It was disappointing to see the Tea Party reference co-opted and hijacked for a one sided political rally. Then when the meeting broke, people went to go put tea bags in the river.

I have talked about the hypocrisy of this with several hard core political friends and they are relating the same one side sad story. Your diagram is interesting but if you sat down next to any newspaper I bet you could expand that quite a bit. It gets very complicated.

I "borrowed" the diagram - but maybe that will make a fun project. Maybe i'll take a few newspapers (age/date not important) and try to "map" the territory and just see what happens.

(that behaviour could get me committed though)

Last year, when I attended a tea party rally in Klamath Falls, OR, I spoke with one of the organizers. I told the woman to her face that the tea party would be hijacked by Wall Street -- told her that both parties were corrupt...my usual harangue.

She did not get it -- just stared back. But now -- it's obvious -- how can anyone deny it?

You're trying to point out a fact to a bunch of political imbeciles, good luck on that, lord knows i've tried. It's more fun for them to play the partisan knee-jerk game around these parts.

Bwwwhahahaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Oh the irony .

No true teabagger.....

First the Liber's pointed to thier swelling numbers to show that their strange little ideology was going mainstream. 'see, look at our large crowd'.

...Now all all those hateful people to your right and left don't look so good now do they. And Palins all of a sudden last weeks stank.

But I'm above saying "I told you so"

...or maybe I'm not

You are stereotyping. There are people that believe in civil and financial liberty that don't fall into your definition of a hateful group.

Its pretty simple really. Its people with common interests in limiting the scope of government. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you dont like getting parking tickets in the mail from video ticketing, if you dont like watching your taxes increase, if you dont like the IRS, if you dont like the Fed, if you dont like expansive government power and regulation, if you dont like foreign wars, if you dont like out-of-touch politicians telling you to tighten your belt while they shave their share off the top of your tax dollars, if you dont like having to get your crotch grabbed to get on a plane, if you dont like increasing police powers, if you dont like your tax dollars being wasted, if you dont like an impersonal bureaucracy telling you what to do, if you dont want the government telling you what to eat, if you dont want the government forcing you to spend money on things you dont want...you're probably alot more similar to the people in the TEA party than you realize.

And if those are your interests as well, you'd be better off with them than you would either the R's or the D's.

The R's and D's are faces of the same interational conglomerate military machine. Its time to cut them loose and to rebuild our country ourselves.

Agreed - sadly, the Tea Party has already sold out / been infiltrated and they're not the vanguard on the issues that you mention.

Dont believe everything that you read.

Theyre a threat to the repubs as much as theyre a threat to the dems. There's going to be alot of disparaging statements in the media from the hard-core loyalists of both parties against the TEA party. They try to paint every leader that comes out of the movement as "crazy".

Here's the problem with this though:

Now we're spending all this time to try to reorganize labels to separate and identify the position(s). That's the big problem with the Libertarian side. What's different from a Tea-Party platform vs. a Libertarian platform? Why the need to sub-categorize or change labels? I understand that the ideal of using "Tea Party" to symbolize and start a "revolution", but it's not going to be able to be done with mainstream support.

It has to go underground. It's being co-opted by other interests that don't care about the principles of what a core group of Americans want: More of a classic sense of what Libertarianism had represented.

I just don't like mother****ers up in my grill yo, tryin' to tell me how to be livin'. You gots some of these foo's tellin' me that they are here to save me. but they only have their interests in mind, not mine. Trifflin' mother****ers...trifflin'
